IT startup incubating company, Fast Track Asia announced its new CEO, Park Ji-woong on August 30.

Park has joined Fast Track Asia as CEO to bring further innovation and growth to the success already achieved with Korea’s first medical app GooDoc released in February, followed by children’s shopping mall Quincee, and corporate social network B.talk.

Park worked as the youngest team manager for the famous Korean venture capital firm Stonebridge Capital and for the past five years has led investment for two of the most successful internet company M&As, Ticket Monster(300 billion won) and Enswers(45 billion won). During a period of four years, he has also successfully led early investment and exits for around twenty companies in the internet/mobile/game industry equal to a total of 30 billion won. After graduating from an Industrial and Management Systems Engineering degree at POSTECH, he received recognition as the most successful and youngest VC in the internet industry after being promoted twice at Stonebridge Capital. In early 2012 Park was part of the board of directors and was behind the scenes in establishing and running Fast Track Asia together with Ticket Monster CEO Daniel Shin and Chester Roh.

Over the past six months Park has brought attention to Fast Track Asia through the quick launch of internet and mobile businesses. Firstly, “GooDoc”, which was incubated by Fast Track Asia made an unprecedented stable revenue after just one month in the mobile arena. It is establishing itself as medical information service better than internet portals with 150,000 downloads and a partnership with a conglomerate. Second service “Quincee”, a commerce service based children’s premium shopping mall has had sales growing at a rate of 200% a month. B.talk, a social network service for businesses is due to be released at the end of August and is gaining attention as Korea’s first “Business Kakao Talk” set to innovate company communication.

Until now, Fast Track Asia has been quick to show results and with Park’s appointment of CEO the firm plans to further foster ventures. Fast Track Asia has a vision of fostering five startups every years, and establishing 30 mobile companies to create venture companies with stable growth and revenue.
