Spinnote, a startup and social content curation service still under development has received incubation and 200 million won in early stage investment from Twosun VC. Through the deal, Spinnote moves into Twosun VC’s incubation center and receives financial and legal support to run the company.

In 2012 Spinnote was chosen by the SMBA and the Korean Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development as an upcoming technology company and took part in VentureSquare’s second SparkSquare acceleration program.

Spinnote is to be a content curation service where users can access a wide variety of their favorite social networks, mobile portals, social commerce sites, message boards and more, all in one place. Spinnote co-CEO Heon-kyeong said,

“We plan to introduce a new type of curation service with a different type of UI that enables users to find content on the small screens of smartphones faster.”

The app has gained the attention of many due to its sleek UI, and currently has patents pending for both its UI and business model. Spinnote is expected to be released in mid-March on iOS.
