A new product is hitting the market through start-up and big business collaboration. Meals Drink, co-developed by Intake, a start-up specialized in meal replacement, and Dongwon F&B, a food giant, has been officially launched.

Meals Drink is a meal replacement targeting millennials born in the early 2000s. Intake describes it as a combination of its expertise on nutritional design and Danish processing technology. The meal replacement created a buzz after successfully funding 1,605% of its goal on Wadiz, a crowd-funding platform. Meals Drink began selling on the Intake Mall as well as through other online channels, convenience stores and supermarkets across the country on March 29

“We successfully launched a ready-to-drink product that usually takes longer to develop, thanks to the collaboration [with a big business],” says Nok-yeop Han, CEO of Intake, stressing that Meals Drink is an example of win-win partnerships for start-ups and established businesses. Dongwon F&B also says it hopes that the collaboration helps create a culture where big businesses and start-ups thrive together.
