The SBA New Competence Startup School Recruits New Participants

Seoul Business Agency (SBA) will recruit future startup founders for its New Competence Startup School until the 15th of this month. Anyone who has started their business within three years with business ideas about technology convergence and services based on the 4th industrial revolution and any early-stage founders who started their business after September 2015 are eligible for application.

Under the subject ‘Strengthening Planning Competency and Writing Business Plan’, the 30-hour-long curriculum of the SBA New Competence Startup School consists of customized and thorough lessons. School participants will learn not only how to start a business but also practical know-how through mentoring (group-coaching) and pitching. After finishing the curriculum, the best performing team will be selected through the demo day and will be provided with prizes and follow-up support.

Ik-soo Jung, managing director of the SBA’s job creation division, said, “SBA New Competence Startup School, the oldest startup education facility in Korea with 14 years of history, will provide a valuable opportunity for future founders with our well-organized curriculum and follow-up support for the best-performing team.” The SBA New Competence Startup School is sponsored by Kookmin University, the Seoul Dongbu Women’s Development Center, Bluan Consulting, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Seoul & Jongno Start-up Café Hyehwa branch, Puzzle Works, Korea Forestry Promotion Institute and WeCam. The co-host of New Competence Startup School, PMsolution’s official said that it will spare no continuous support for the winning team through regular networking.
