앰비언트 AI 스타트업 ‘소서릭스(대표 류현종)’가 미국 실리콘밸리 투자사 사우스 파크 커먼스(South Park Commons, 이하 SPC)로부터 100만 달러의 투자를 유치했다고 19일 밝혔다. 소서릭스는 지난 23년 매쉬업벤처스, 데브시스터즈벤처스로부터 프리 시드 투자를 유치한 바 있다.
소서릭스는 앰비언트 컴퓨팅 기술을 통해 사용자들이 일상에서 직접적인 명령이나 개입 없이도 이용할 수 있는 편리한 스마트 환경을 구현한다. AI 기반의 ‘소서릭스 렌즈’를 통해 공간과 사용자 상태를 실시간으로 파악하고 온도, 조명, 옷차림 추천, 음료 준비 등 개인 맞춤형 서비스를 선제적으로 제공하는 것이 특징이다.
구글, 메타, 마이크로소프트 등 최고 수준의 엔지니어들로 구성된 소서릭스는 프리 시드 투자 이후 중소벤처기업부 주관 딥테크 팁스, 엔비디아(NVIDIA) 글로벌 협업 프로그램 등에 선정되며 국내외로 기술 우수성을 인정받았다. 지난 6월부터는 미국에서 초기 사용자를 대상으로 제품 테스트를 진행하는 등 본격적인 글로벌 진출에 나서고 있다.
이번 투자를 진행한 SPC는 페이스북, 드롭박스 등 글로벌 빅테크 출신이 모여 만든 실리콘밸리 투자사이자 기술 중심 커뮤니티다. 모든 파트너가 창업, 제품 개발, 조직 성장 경험을 바탕으로 아이디어 단계부터 창업자와 함께 고민하며, 기술적 난제 해결에 집중하는 유망 스타트업을 조기 발굴하는 것이 특징이다.
소서릭스는 이번 투자와 함께 SPC만의 독특한 커리큘럼인 창업자 육성 프로그램(Founder Fellowship)에 참여할 예정이다. 이 프로그램은 일정 기간동안 가설 검증, 시제품 제작, 고객 인터뷰 등 SPC의 투자 파트너들과 밀착 협력해 글로벌 시장에서의 초기 성장을 가속화하는 액셀러레이팅 프로그램이다.

Sorceryx Secures $1 Million Investment from Silicon Valley Investment Firm SPC
Ambient AI startup Sorcerix (CEO Ryu Hyeon-jong) announced on the 19th that it has secured $1 million in investment from Silicon Valley investment firm South Park Commons (SPC). Sorcerix previously secured pre-seed investment from Mashup Ventures and Devsisters Ventures in 2023.
Sorceryx leverages ambient computing technology to create a convenient smart environment that users can utilize in their daily lives without direct commands or intervention. Its AI-powered "Sorceryx Lens" analyzes spatial and user conditions in real time, proactively providing personalized services such as temperature, lighting, clothing recommendations, and beverage preparation.
Sortrix, comprised of top-tier engineers from companies like Google, Meta, and Microsoft, has been recognized for its technological excellence both domestically and internationally since receiving pre-seed investment, including selections for programs like the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Deep Tech Tips and the NVIDIA Global Collaboration Program. Since June, the company has been actively expanding into the global market, conducting product testing with early users in the US.
SPC, which made this investment, is a Silicon Valley investment firm and technology-focused community formed by former members of global tech giants like Facebook and Dropbox. All partners have extensive experience in founding, developing products, and growing organizations. Their approach is to collaborate with founders from the ideation stage, focusing on solving technical challenges and identifying promising startups early on.
With this investment, Sorceryx will participate in SPC's unique Founder Fellowship program. This accelerator program accelerates early growth in the global market by collaborating closely with SPC's investment partners on hypothesis testing, prototype development, and customer interviews over a set period of time.
“The entire team will move to Silicon Valley to conduct large-scale beta testing with the goal of launching in the U.S. early next year,” said Ryu Hyun-jong, CEO of Sorceryx. “Through SPC investment and collaboration with local experts, we will further enhance the product and successfully establish ourselves in the U.S. market.”
Eunwoo Park, a partner at Mashup Ventures who led Sorcerix’s first investment, said, “A startup team with world-class technological prowess has been recognized by a Silicon Valley technology investment firm and has entered the U.S. market in earnest.” He added, “Mashup Ventures will continue to actively support AI startups entering the U.S. market.”

La startup Sorcerix, spécialisée dans l'intelligence artificielle ambiante (PDG : Ryu Hyeon-jong), a annoncé le 19 juin avoir levé 1 million de dollars auprès de la société d'investissement South Park Commons (SPC), basée dans la Silicon Valley. Sorcerix avait déjà obtenu des financements d'amorçage auprès de Mashup Ventures et Devsisters Ventures en 2023.
Sorceryx exploite la technologie de l'informatique ambiante pour créer un environnement intelligent et pratique que les utilisateurs peuvent utiliser au quotidien sans intervention directe.
