의약품 개발 벤처기업 ㈜에머티바이오(대표 조기환)가 지난 8월 30일 ‘2025 제5회 대한민국 공헌대상’에서 보건복지위원장 표창을 받았다고 4일 밝혔다.
조기환 대표는 이날 서울 여의도 국회의원회관 대회의실에서 열린 시상식에서 국민 건강 증진에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 표창을 수상했다. ‘대한민국 공헌대상’은 교육, 문화, 체육, 의정, 행정, 봉사, 환경 사회 등 7개 분야에서 사회 발전에 기여한 숨은 인물들을 발굴해 시상하는 행사로, 사단법인 한국환경체육청소년연맹과 더불어민주당 김문수 국회의원이 공동 주최하고 대한민국 공헌대상 조직위원회가 주관한다.
에머티바이오는 혁신성장유형 벤처기업으로, 국내 제약바이오 기업과 협력해 환자 안전성과 의료 현장 활용도를 개선한 전문의약품 공급을 통해 의료 서비스 향상과 국민 건강 증진에 기여한 점을 높게 평가받았다.
조기환 대표는 중외제약 마케팅본부, 한국아스텔라스제약 사업전략본부 등을 거쳐 2019년 제약유통기업 ㈜메드탑을 설립했으며, 2024년 사명을 ㈜에머티바이오로 변경했다. 2023년에는 자사 의약품 ‘프로제아’를 출시해 100억 원대 매출을 기록했고, 2025년에는 신규 항구토제 ‘라모스타’ 출시를 시작으로 30여 종의 제품 라인업 확대와 2028년까지 300억 원 이상의 매출 증대를 목표로 하고 있다.
