스마트팜 융복합 기업 케이에스팜㈜과 마이크로바이옴 전문 연구기업 ㈜바이옴에이츠가 글로벌 스마트팜 시장 진출을 위한 협력에 나선다.
양사는 지난 8월 29일 경기도 과천시에 위치한 바이옴에이츠 기업부설연구소에서 스마트팜 미생물 제제의 실증 및 유통 협력 강화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 5일 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 양사는 ▲경북 상주 스마트팜혁신밸리에서의 토마토 실증 및 유통 ▲미생물 제제의 현장 검증 및 해외 시장 진출 ▲사우디아라비아, 말레이시아 등 해외 스마트팜 프로젝트 협력 등을 추진할 계획이다.
협약에 따라 케이에스팜은 스마트팜 운영 경험과 농산물 유통 역량을 기반으로 바이옴에이츠의 실증 농산물을 수매·유통하고, 해외 온실 프로젝트에서 미생물 제제의 실증을 담당한다. 바이옴에이츠는 자체 개발한 마이크로바이옴 복합균주를 스마트팜 환경에 적용하고, 현장 실증과 기술 검증을 수행한다.
양사는 이번 협력을 통해 스마트팜 실증, 데이터 분석, 해외 적용으로 이어지는 통합 밸류체인을 구축하고, 이를 기반으로 글로벌 애그테크 시장 공략에 본격 나설 방침이다.
케이에스팜은 스마트팜 구축·운영부터 농산물 유통, 식품 가공까지 아우르는 6차 산업 기반의 토털 솔루션을 제공하고 있으며, ICT 및 빅데이터 기반 자동화 재배 기술을 통해 지속가능한 농업 모델을 실현하고 있다.
바이옴에이츠는 마이크로바이옴 복합균주 조합 설계 플랫폼 기술을 기반으로 치료제, 건강기능식품, 농업용 미생물 제제 등 다양한 분야에서 연구개발을 진행 중인 바이오 벤처기업이다. 현재 스마트팜 분야로 사업 영역을 확대하며 글로벌 바이오 및 애그테크 시장에서 협력 기회를 넓히고 있다.
한편, 바이옴에이츠는 IBK기업은행의 혁신창업기업 육성 프로그램 ‘IBK창공’ 대전 5기 기업으로 선정된 바 있다.
KS Farm Signs Business Agreement with Biomeates
Smart farm convergence company KS Farm Co., Ltd. and microbiome research company Biomeates Co., Ltd. are collaborating to enter the global smart farm market.
The two companies announced on the 5th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation in verification and distribution of smart farm microbial products at the Biomeates corporate research center located in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province on August 29th.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to pursue ▲ tomato demonstration and distribution at the Gyeongbuk Sangju Smart Farm Innovation Valley ▲ field verification and overseas market entry of microbial preparations ▲ cooperation on overseas smart farm projects in countries such as Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.
Under the agreement, KS Farm will leverage its smart farm operation experience and agricultural product distribution capabilities to purchase and distribute Biomeates' proven agricultural products and conduct validation of microbial preparations in overseas greenhouse projects. Biomeates will apply its proprietary microbiome complex strains to smart farm environments and conduct field trials and technology verification.
Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to establish an integrated value chain encompassing smart farm verification, data analysis, and overseas application, and based on this, launch a full-scale attack on the global agtech market.
KS Farm provides total solutions based on the 6th industrial revolution, encompassing everything from smart farm construction and operation to agricultural product distribution and food processing. La société KS Farm Co., Ltd., spécialisée dans la convergence des fermes intelligentes, et la société de recherche sur le microbiome Biomeates Co., Ltd. collaborent pour pénétrer le marché mondial des fermes intelligentes.
