인공지능(AI) 기반 데이터 및 통번역 솔루션 기업 플리토(대표 이정수)는 지난 9월 5일 서울 양재 aT센터 그랜드홀에서 열린 ‘Koreawide Developer Conference 2025(이하 KWDC25)’에 AI 실시간 동시통역 솔루션을 제공했다고 8일 밝혔다.
KWDC는 국내 최대 규모의 애플 생태계 개발자 컨퍼런스로, iOS, macOS, Swift 등 애플 기술 전반에 걸친 강연과 함께 관련 산업 내 다양한 협업 기회를 제공하는 행사다.
플리토는 작년에 이어 올해도 공식 통번역 파트너로 참여해, 행사 전 세션에 자사의 AI 기반 동시통역 솔루션 ‘라이브 트랜스레이션(Live Translation)’을 적용했다. 올해 발표자의 절반 이상이 일본, 캐나다 등 다양한 국적의 해외 연사로 구성되면서, 플리토의 기술은 참가자들이 실시간으로 언어 장벽 없이 강연 내용을 이해하는 데 기여했다.
‘라이브 트랜스레이션’은 최대 42개 언어로 실시간 통역을 제공하며, 참가자들은 행사 중 제공된 QR코드를 통해 스마트폰으로 통역 자막을 받아볼 수 있었다. 또한, 연사와의 질의응답을 실시간으로 지원하는 ‘애스크 투 스피커(Ask to Speaker)’ 존도 별도로 운영됐다. 해당 존에서는 플리토의 다자간 AI 통역 솔루션인 ‘챗 트랜스레이션(Chat Translation)’이 적용돼, 참가자들은 다양한 언어로 연사와 직접 소통할 수 있었다.
이 외에도 플리토는 행사장 내 체험 부스를 운영하고 데모 계정을 제공함으로써, 현장 방문객이 직접 AI 통역 솔루션을 체험할 수 있는 기회를 마련했다.
플리토는 다국어 고품질 데이터를 기반으로 AI 통번역 기술을 개발하고 있으며, 이를 통해 행사 주최 측에는 글로벌 연사 초청에 따른 운영 효율성과 비용 절감 효과, 그리고 행사 영향력의 해외 확장이라는 실질적 가치를 제공하고 있다. 현재 국내외 대형 컨퍼런스를 중심으로 솔루션 도입이 확대되고 있다.

Pluto to Provide AI Real-Time Simultaneous Interpretation Solution at KWDC25
Plitto (CEO Lee Jeong-su) , an artificial intelligence (AI)-based data and interpretation solution company, announced on the 8th that it provided an AI real-time simultaneous interpretation solution at the 'Koreawide Developer Conference 2025 (hereinafter referred to as KWDC25)' held at the Grand Hall of the Yangjae aT Center in Seoul on September 5th.
KWDC is Korea's largest Apple ecosystem developer conference, offering lectures on Apple technologies across iOS, macOS, Swift, and more, along with various collaboration opportunities within related industries.
Flitto, again participating as the official interpretation and translation partner this year, applied its AI-based simultaneous interpretation solution, "Live Translation," to all sessions of the event. With more than half of this year's presenters representing diverse nationalities, including Japan and Canada, Flitto's technology contributed to enabling attendees to understand the presentations in real time, eliminating language barriers.
"Live Translation" provided real-time interpretation in up to 42 languages, and participants could receive translated subtitles on their smartphones via QR codes provided during the event. A separate "Ask to Speaker" zone was also operated, supporting real-time Q&A with speakers. This zone utilized Pluto's multi-party AI interpretation solution, "Chat Translation," allowing participants to communicate directly with speakers in various languages.
In addition, Pluto operated an experience booth at the event and provided demo accounts, giving visitors the opportunity to experience its AI interpretation solutions firsthand.
Pluto is developing AI translation and interpretation technology based on high-quality, multilingual data. This technology provides event organizers with tangible benefits: operational efficiency and cost savings through the invitation of global speakers, as well as the ability to expand the impact of their events internationally. Currently, the solution is being widely adopted, particularly at large-scale conferences both domestically and internationally.

KWDC est la plus grande conférence de développeurs de l'écosystème Apple en Corée, proposant des conférences sur les technologies Apple (iOS, macOS, Swift, etc.) ainsi que diverses opportunités de collaboration au sein des secteurs connexes.
Flitto, partenaire officiel d'interprétation et de traduction pour la deuxième année consécutive, a déployé sa solution d'interprétation simultanée basée sur l'IA, « Live Translation », lors de toutes les sessions de l'événement. Plus de la moitié des intervenants étant de nationalités diverses, notamment japonaise et canadienne, la technologie de Flitto a permis aux participants de suivre les présentations en temps réel, éliminant ainsi les barrières linguistiques.
Le service de « traduction en direct » proposait une interprétation simultanée dans 42 langues. Les participants pouvaient recevoir les sous-titres traduits sur leur smartphone via des QR codes distribués pendant l'événement. Un espace « Poser des questions aux intervenants » était également disponible, permettant des échanges en temps réel avec les intervenants. Cet espace utilisait la solution d'interprétation IA multipartite « Chat Translation » de Pluto, permettant aux participants de communiquer directement avec les intervenants dans différentes langues.
