블록체인 디파이 메신저 ‘토마톡(TomaTok)’을 운영하는 ㈜니즈퍼샌드(대표 김남진)는 게임 개발 및 퍼블리싱 기업 ㈜테크베리(대표 손려)와 국내 중소 게임 개발사의 기술력 향상 및 글로벌 시장 진출 지원을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 8일 밝혔다.
양사는 이번 협약을 통해 국내 게임 개발사의 역량 강화와 해외 시장 진출을 위한 다양한 공동 사업을 추진할 계획이다. 아울러 각사가 보유한 기술 및 플랫폼을 기반으로 신규 시장 개척과 사업 영역 확대에도 협력할 예정이다.
테크베리는 2021년 설립된 게임 개발사로, 방치형 RPG 장르를 중심으로 콘텐츠 경쟁력을 강화하고 있다. 대표작 ‘딸깍삼국’과 ‘리틀 판타시아’는 사용자 몰입 중심의 게임성과 사회적 메시지를 접목해 차별화된 콘텐츠를 선보이고 있다.
니즈퍼샌드는 글로벌 실시간 통번역, 영상통화, 프리콜 기능을 지원하는 블록체인 기반 디파이 메신저 ‘토마톡’을 운영 중이다. 토마톡은 자체 게임 서비스 및 블록체인 기반 T2E(Tap-to-Earn) 게임 ‘토마콩즈’를 통해 게임·메신저·블록체인 기술을 융합한 서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 향후 AI 기반 암호화폐 자산 관리 기능도 도입할 계획이다.
양사는 이번 협약을 바탕으로 중소 게임 개발사들의 글로벌 진출에 필요한 기술 및 플랫폼 지원을 강화하고, 블록체인과 게임 산업 간 연계를 통해 새로운 시장 기회를 공동으로 모색할 방침이다.
