와디즈(대표 신혜성)는 글로벌 혁신 스타트업 액셀러레이팅 전문 기업 스타트투그룹(Start2 Group, 대표 클라우스 카르테)과 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고, 글로벌 스타트업의 한국 및 아시아 시장 진출을 지원한다고 17일 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 와디즈는 독일 및 글로벌 스타트업들 사이에서 플랫폼 인지도를 높이고, 아시아 시장 진출의 교두보로서 유럽의 혁신 브랜드와 제품을 선보일 계획이다.
스타트투그룹은 독일 뮌헨에 본사를 둔 글로벌 액셀러레이터로, 유럽·미주·아시아 지역에서 스타트업 해외 진출 프로그램을 운영하며 독일 정부 및 주요 기관과 협력해 왔다.
양사는 이번 협약을 기반으로 글로벌 스타트업의 시장 안착을 지원하고, 크라우드펀딩 생태계 활성화 및 상호 비즈니스 기회 창출을 목표로 한다.
스타트투그룹은 와디즈에 글로벌 B2C·D2C 스타트업을 추천하고, 크라우드펀딩 참여를 독려하기 위한 설명회 등을 공동 개최할 예정이다. 또한 글로벌 스타트업 생태계와 기술 동향에 관한 인사이트를 제공할 계획이다.
와디즈는 스타트투그룹이 추천하는 스타트업에 대해 ‘패스트트랙 심사’를 적용하고 최대 5천 달러 규모의 마케팅 지원 프로그램을 운영한다. 더불어 국내외 스타트업 데이터를 활용한 시장 인사이트도 공유할 예정이다.
특히 올해 하반기에는 양사가 공동으로 연말 어워즈 프로그램을 열어, 독일 기업을 중심으로 한 글로벌 스타트업의 한국 시장 테스트를 지원한다. 펀딩 프로젝트 개설 후 성과를 평가해 시상하는 방식으로, 참여 기업은 한국 시장 반응을 검증하고 초기 고객 확보 및 마케팅 레퍼런스를 마련할 수 있다.
신혜성 와디즈 대표는 “이번 협력이 글로벌 스타트업에게 한국 및 아시아 시장에서의 새로운 기회를 제공하는 출발점이 될 것”이라며, “글로벌 파트너십 확대를 통해 한·중·일 소비 시장을 연결하는 역할을 강화하겠다”고 말했다.

Wadiz Signs Business Agreement with Start2 Group
Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung) announced on the 17th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Start2 Group (CEO Klaus Karthe), a global innovation startup accelerator, and will support global startups' entry into the Korean and Asian markets.
Through this agreement, Wadiz plans to increase platform awareness among German and global startups and showcase innovative European brands and products as a bridgehead for entering the Asian market.
Start2Group is a global accelerator headquartered in Munich, Germany. It operates startup overseas expansion programs in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and collaborates with the German government and major institutions.
Based on this agreement, the two companies aim to support the market establishment of global startups, revitalize the crowdfunding ecosystem, and create mutual business opportunities.
Start2 Group plans to recommend global B2C and D2C startups to Wadiz and co-host informational sessions to encourage crowdfunding participation. They also plan to provide insights into the global startup ecosystem and technology trends.
Wadiz will apply a "fast-track review" process to startups recommended by Start2Group and operate a marketing support program worth up to $5,000. Furthermore, it plans to share market insights leveraging domestic and international startup data.
Specifically, in the second half of this year, the two companies will jointly host a year-end awards program to support global startups, particularly German companies, in testing the Korean market. By evaluating and awarding awards after the launch of a funding project, participating companies will be able to verify the Korean market's response and establish initial customer acquisition and marketing references.
Shin Hye-sung, CEO of Wadiz, said, “This collaboration will serve as a starting point for global startups to provide new opportunities in the Korean and Asian markets,” and added, “By expanding our global partnerships, we will strengthen our role in connecting the consumer markets of Korea, China, and Japan.”
