세종창조경제혁신센터(대표이사 오득창, 이하 세종센터)는 스마트 윈도우 혁신 기술을 보유한 ㈜에스티웍스(대표 황훈)에 대한 직접 투자를 완료하고, 중소벤처기업부 프리팁스(Pre-TIPS) 프로그램 추천을 통해 지역 초기 창업기업 발굴 및 성장을 지원했다고 밝혔다.
㈜에스티웍스는 역구동(Reverse Driving) 방식의 PNLC(Polymer Network Liquid Crystal) 스마트 틴팅 필름을 개발한 기술창업기업으로, 기존 스마트 윈도우의 한계를 극복하고 건축 및 모빌리티 시장에서의 적용 가능성을 입증했다. 특히 투명 상태에서 전기 인가 후 불투명 상태를 유지하고, 1초 이하의 구동 속도·넓은 시야각·우수한 열차단 성능을 동시에 구현해 에너지 절감과 친환경 수요 확대에 부합하는 혁신성을 확보했다.
세종센터는 이번 투자를 통해 기업의 양산 체계 구축 및 시장 검증(PoC) 과정을 지역연계 지원했으며, 창업 첫해 프리팁스 선정을 통해 사업화자금 확보 및 CVC 동반 투자 유치 기반을 마련하도록 도왔다. 이를 통해 에스티웍스는 기술 상용화와 글로벌 진출을 가속화 할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
세종센터 관계자는 “이번 사례는 단순한 자금 투자에 그치지 않고, 지역 초기창업기업 발굴를 통한 선투자 후 정부지원사업 연계로 이어지는 성장 사다리를 구현한 성과”라며, “앞으로도 세종·충청권의 우수 스타트업이 전국적·글로벌 기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 투자와 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Oh Deuk-chang, hereinafter referred to as Sejong Center) announced that it has completed direct investment in ST Works Co., Ltd. (CEO Hwang Hoon), which possesses smart window innovation technology, and has supported the discovery and growth of local early-stage startups through recommendations for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Pre-TIPS program.
ST Works Co., Ltd. is a technology startup that has developed a reverse-driving PNLC (Polymer Network Liquid Crystal) smart tinting film. This film has overcome the limitations of existing smart windows and demonstrated its applicability in the architectural and mobility markets. Notably, the film maintains an opaque state after power is applied, and it boasts an operating speed of less than one second, a wide viewing angle, and excellent heat blocking performance, securing innovative features that meet the growing demand for energy savings and eco-friendliness.
Through this investment, the Sejong Center provided regional support for the company's mass production system establishment and market validation (PoC) process. Furthermore, through selection as a Pretips company in the first year of operation, the center helped secure commercialization funds and establish a foundation for attracting CVC investment. Through this, ST Works expects to accelerate technology commercialization and global expansion.
A Sejong Center official said, “This case is not limited to simple financial investment, but is the result of implementing a growth ladder that connects pre-investment through discovery of local startups and linkage with government support projects,” adding, “We will continue to spare no investment and support so that excellent startups in the Sejong and Chungcheong regions can grow into national and global companies.”

Le Centre Sejong pour l'économie créative et l'innovation (PDG Oh Deuk-chang, ci-après dénommé Centre Sejong) a annoncé avoir finalisé un investissement direct dans ST Works Co., Ltd. (PDG Hwang Hoon), qui possède une technologie d'innovation de fenêtres intelligentes, et a soutenu la découverte et la croissance de startups locales en phase de démarrage grâce à des recommandations pour le programme Pre-TIPS du ministère des PME et des startups.
ST Works Co., Ltd. est une start-up technologique qui a développé un film teinté intelligent PNLC (Polymer Network Liquid Crystal) à entraînement inversé.
