스파크랩파트너스(대표 김호민)가 경북 포항시에 위치한 한동대학교 캠퍼스 내에 경상북도 지사를 개소하며 현판식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 경상북도 지사 설립은 포항시·한동대와의 전략적 협력을 통해 지역 내 혁신 창업 생태계를 조성하고, AI와 바이오 분야의 유망 스타트업을 발굴·투자하기 위한 기반을 마련하는 것이 목표다. 또한 향후 임상전문특화병원과 연계해 바이오·헬스케어 분야 스타트업 지원에도 나설 계획이다.
특히 이번 개소식은 같은 날 한동대학교 그레이스스쿨에서 열린 ‘포항시-美 새크라멘토 스타트업&바이오 이노베이션 포럼’과 연계 진행된 것이 특징으로 미국 그레이터 새크라멘토 경제협의회, 플란(FLANN Inc., 바이오콤 캘리포니아 한국 파트너), UC 데이비스 헬스벤처 관계자, 지역 바이오기업 CEO 등 50여 명이 참석해 공동 연구·투자·시장 진출 전략을 모색했다.
포럼에서 ▲포항 바이오산업 현황 발표 ▲포항 글로벌 기업혁신파크 및 임상전문특화병원 비전 공유 ▲새크라멘토 Aggie Square 클러스터 소개 등을 비롯해 쓰리브룩스테라퓨틱스·인엑소플랫·헤세드바이오 등 지역 대표 바이오기업이 혁신 기술을 선보였다.
이밖에도 패널토론과 네트워킹을 통해 미국 서부 신흥 거점인 새크라멘토와 포항 간의 산학연 협력 및 인력 교류 방안이 구체적으로 논의됐다.
이강덕 포항시장은 “포항시는 AI·바이오 산업을 차세대 성장 동력으로 삼고 있다”며, “스파크랩파트너스와 한동대가 함께 혁신 스타트업을 육성하고, 미국 새크라멘토 클러스터와 글로벌 협력을 이어간다면 세계 시장에서도 경쟁력 있는 기업들이 배출될 것이라 기대한다”고 말했다.

SparkLabs Partners Opens Gyeongsangbuk-do Branch at Handong Global University
Sparklab Partners (CEO Ho-min Kim) announced that it held a ceremony to unveil its Gyeongsangbuk-do branch on the campus of Handong Global University in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
The establishment of the Gyeongsangbuk-do branch aims to foster a regional innovative startup ecosystem through strategic collaboration with Pohang City and Handong Global University, and to lay the foundation for discovering and investing in promising startups in the AI and bio sectors. Furthermore, the branch plans to support startups in the bio and healthcare sectors by partnering with specialized clinical hospitals.
In particular, this opening ceremony was held in conjunction with the 'Pohang City-US Sacramento Startup & Bio Innovation Forum' held at Handong Global University's Grace School on the same day. Around 50 people, including the Greater Sacramento Economic Council, FLANN Inc. (Biocom California's Korean partner), UC Davis Health Ventures, and CEOs of local bio companies, attended to explore joint research, investment, and market entry strategies.
At the forum, ▲presentations were made on the current status of Pohang's bio industry, ▲visions were shared for the Pohang Global Enterprise Innovation Park and clinical specialty hospital, and ▲the Sacramento Aggie Square cluster was introduced. Representative local bio companies such as Three Brooks Therapeutics, Inexoplat, and Hesed Bio showcased innovative technologies.
In addition, panel discussions and networking sessions specifically discussed ways to foster industry-academia-research cooperation and human resource exchange between Sacramento and Pohang, emerging hubs in the western United States.
Pohang Mayor Lee Kang-deok said, “Pohang City is targeting the AI and bio industries as its next-generation growth engines,” and added, “If SparkLabs Partners and Handong Global University work together to foster innovative startups and continue global cooperation with the Sacramento Cluster in the U.S., I expect that this will produce companies that are competitive in the global market.”

Sparklab Partners（CEO 金浩民）宣布，公司在庆尚北道浦项市韩东国际大学校园内举行仪式，正式揭幕其庆尚北道分公司。

Sparklab Partners (PDG Ho-min Kim) a annoncé avoir organisé une cérémonie pour inaugurer sa succursale de Gyeongsangbuk-do sur le campus de l'Université mondiale de Handong à Pohang, dans la province de Gyeongsangbuk-do.
La création de la branche de Gyeongsangbuk-do vise à favoriser un écosystème régional de startups innovantes grâce à une collaboration stratégique avec la ville de Pohang et l'Université mondiale de Handong, et à jeter les bases de la découverte et de l'investissement dans des startups prometteuses dans les secteurs de l'IA et des biotechnologies. De plus, la branche prévoit de soutenir les startups des secteurs des biotechnologies et de la santé en nouant des partenariats avec des hôpitaux cliniques spécialisés.
Cette cérémonie d'ouverture s'est tenue en parallèle du Forum « Pohang City-US Sacramento Startup & Bio Innovation », organisé le même jour à la Grace School de l'Université mondiale de Handong. Une cinquantaine de personnes, dont des représentants du Greater Sacramento Economic Council, de FLANN Inc. (partenaire coréen de Biocom California), d'UC Davis Health Ventures et des PDG d'entreprises de biotechnologie locales, y ont participé afin d'explorer des stratégies conjointes de recherche, d'investissement et d'entrée sur le marché.
Lors du forum, des présentations ont été faites sur l'état actuel de l'industrie biotechnologique de Pohang, les visions du parc d'innovation et d'entreprise mondiale de Pohang et de l'hôpital spécialisé ont été partagées, et le pôle de compétitivité Sacramento Aggie Square a été présenté. Des entreprises biotechnologiques locales représentatives, telles que Three Brooks Therapeutics, Inexoplat et Hesed Bio, ont présenté des technologies innovantes.
En outre, des tables rondes et des séances de réseautage ont porté spécifiquement sur les moyens de favoriser la coopération entre l'industrie, le monde universitaire et la recherche, ainsi que les échanges de ressources humaines entre Sacramento et Pohang, pôles émergents de l'ouest des États-Unis.
