응급상황 대응 헬스케어 스타트업 ㈜위코멧(대표 이정훈)이 경기·인천·제주 소방본부와 영아 전용 이송 장비 ‘베이비포드20(BabyPod20, 이하 베이비포드)’ 공급 계약을 체결했다고 30일 밝혔다.
위코멧은 세종, 충북, 경남 소방본부 등에 베이비포드를 공급해 왔으며, 이번 계약으로 43대를 추가 납품해 신생아 및 영아 이송 안정성을 강화하고 구급대원의 현장 대응 역량 향상을 지원할 계획이다.
베이비포드는 고강도 탄소 섬유를 적용해 가볍고 견고하게 제작됐으며, 가로폭 1미터 크기로 구급차·헬기 등 공간 제약이 큰 환경에서도 사용할 수 있다. 또한 영아를 옮기지 않고 엑스레이·CT 촬영이 가능해 의료진들의 신속한 진단과 처치를 돕는다.
특히 제품에는 ▲최대 900kg을 견디는 들것 고정 벨트 ▲움직임을 최소화하는 위치 고정 벨트 ▲외부 충격을 흡수하는 폼(Foam) ▲보온 기능을 제공하는 웜젤(WarmGel) 매트리스 등이 장착돼, 영아의 머리·발·측면 흔들림을 줄여주고 긴급 상황에서도 안전한 이송을 보장한다.
현재 베이비포드는 영국 어린이병원의 항공 이송 서비스, 독일 ADAC 항공 구조대, 브라질 공군·해군의 재난 구호 및 긴급 이송 작전 등 각국에서 운용되며 응급 이송 장비로서의 실효성을 전 세계적으로 인정받고 있다.
이정훈 위코멧 대표는 “베이비포드는 임산부 출산 및 영아 이송 서비스에 최적화된 장비로, 이송 중 발생할 수 있는 손상을 최소화하는 것이 특징”이라며 “앞으로도 소방기관, 응급의료기관과 협력해 신생아·영아를 보다 안전하게 이송할 수 있는 환경을 마련하는 데 조력할 것”이라고 말했다.
한편 위코멧은 이노소니언의 심폐소생술 마네킹 ‘브레이든(BRAYDEN)’을 통해 기업 간 거래(B2B), 정부·공공기관 간 거래(B2G) 대상 교육 사업을 진행하고 있으며, ‘브레이든 온라인’으로 심폐소생술 자기주도훈련 프로그램도 운영 중이다. 지금까지 약 2만5000명에게 안전 교육을 진행했다.
