가상자산 거래소 업비트를 운영하는 ㈜두나무(대표 오경석)가 오는 10월 28일부터 31일까지 경북 경주에서 열리는 ‘APEC CEO 서밋 코리아 2025(APEC CEO Summit Korea 2025)’의 공식 파트너사로 참여한다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 아시아태평양경제협력체(APEC) 정상회의의 공식 부대 행사로, 대한상공회의소가 주관한다. ‘Bridge, Business, Beyond’를 주제로 열리는 이번 서밋에는 APEC 21개 회원국의 정상과 글로벌 기업 CEO 약 1,700여 명이 참석할 예정이다. 주요 참석자로는 젠슨 황 엔비디아 CEO, 맷 가먼 AWS CEO, 제인 프레이저 씨티그룹 CEO, 호아킨 두아토 존슨앤드존슨 CEO 등이 있으며, 국내에서는 최태원 SK그룹 회장, 이재용 삼성전자 회장, 정의선 현대차 회장, 구광모 LG그룹 회장 등이 참여할 예정이다.
두나무는 한국 블록체인 산업을 대표해 디지털 자산 기술의 가능성과 글로벌 금융 혁신의 방향성을 공유한다는 계획이다.
오경석 대표는 10월 29일 경주예술의전당 화랑홀에서 열리는 ‘The Future of Currency & Global Financial Market(통화의 미래 및 글로벌 금융시장)’ 세션에 기조연설자로 참여해, 업비트의 기술력과 글로벌 블록체인 산업의 미래를 조망할 예정이다.
이어 30일에는 두나무가 주최하는 ‘퓨처테크포럼: 디지털 자산(Future Tech Forum: Digital Asset)’이 열린다. 포럼은 ‘디지털 자산으로 연결되는 글로벌 경제’를 주제로, 블록체인과 인공지능(AI), 금융 규제, 기술 기반 포용금융 등 다양한 글로벌 이슈를 다룰 예정이다.
기조연설은 MIT 미디어랩 디지털화폐이니셔티브(Digital Currency Initiative) 수석 고문이자 전 코인데스크 컨센서스 의장인 마이클 케이시(Michael Casey)가 맡는다. 이후 패널 토의에는 테더, 솔라나 재단, 아시아개발은행, 마스터카드 등 글로벌 기관 및 기업 관계자들이 참석한다.
두나무는 행사 기간 동안 경주예술의전당 야외 전시장에 업비트 전시 부스를 운영한다. 부스에서는 디지털 자산이 주도하는 글로벌 금융의 미래를 주제로 업비트의 기술력과 웹3 기반 인프라 전략을 소개할 예정이다.

Upbit Participates in APEC CEO Summit Korea 2025
Dunamu Co., Ltd. (CEO Oh Kyung-seok), which operates the virtual asset exchange Upbit, announced that it will participate as an official partner in the 'APEC CEO Summit Korea 2025' to be held in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do from October 28 to 31.
This event, an official side event of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, is hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Under the theme "Bridge, Business, Beyond," the summit is expected to attract approximately 1,700 heads of state from 21 APEC member economies and CEOs of global companies. Key attendees include NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, AWS CEO Matt Garman, Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser, and Johnson & Johnson CEO Joaquin Duato. On the 30th, the "Future Tech Forum: Digital Asset," hosted by Dunamu, will be held. The keynote address will be delivered by Michael Casey, Senior Advisor to the MIT Media Lab's Digital Currency Initiative and former Chairman of CoinDesk Consensus. During the event, Dunamu will operate an Upbit exhibition booth at the Gyeongju Arts Center outdoor exhibition hall. The booth will showcase Upbit's technological prowess and Web3-based infrastructure strategy, highlighting the future of global finance driven by digital assets.
