– 사우디 정부 선정 20개 스타트업 6주간 한국 스타트업 생태계 체험

글로벌 액셀러레이터 스파크랩(대표 김유진)과 스파크랩사우디(대표 Ivan Grlic)이 사우디아라비아 통신정보기술부(MCIT)와 함께 ‘테크 파운더 인 코리아 2025(Tech Founder in Korea 2025, 이하 테크 파운더)’ 프로그램을 오는 12월 12일까지 운영한다고 밝혔다.
테크 파운더는 사우디 통신정보기술부가 자국 스타트업 생태계 활성화와 창업자 역량 강화를 위해 추진하는 사업으로 지난해 싱가포르, 올 상반기 영국에 이어 한국에서 세번째로 진행하게 됐다.
이번 프로그램에는 사우디 정부가 직접 선정한 20개 유망 기술 스타트업이 참가, 6주간 한국 스타트업 생태계와 첨단 기술 인프라를 경험하고 협업 방안과 아시아 진출 전략 등을 모색한다.
공동 주최자인 스파크랩은 국내 주요 대기업 및 기관 탐방을 비롯해 ▲유망 스타트업 창업가와의 네트워킹 ▲투자사와 대기업간의 전략적 밋업 ▲기업 진단 및 1대1 맞춤형 멘토링 등 육성 프로그램 제공과 함께 사우디 스타트업에 대한 소개와 협력도 논의할 수 있는 ‘컴업’ 부스도 마련할 예정이다.
이밖에도 오는 12월 8일에는 사우디 스타트업이 국내 투자자 및 스타트업 관계자를 대상으로 사업 모델과 비전을 발표하고 투자 유치 연계와 파트너십 등을 구축할 수 있는 비공개 데모데이도 진행한다.
스파크랩은 지난해부터 사우디 정부 기관과 협력해 현지 스타트업 생태계 구축은 물론 국내 스타트업의 중동 진출을 지원하고 있다. 현재 사우디 AI 스타트업 액셀러레이터 프로그램 ‘AIM-X’ 운영을 비롯해 사우디 정부로부터 총 5000만 달러(약 670억원)를 출자 받아 ‘AIM AI’ 펀드도 운용 중에 있다.
김유진 스파크랩 대표는 “아시아 혁신 허브인 한국의 첨단 기술 인프라와 생태계를 이번 프로그램을 통해 소개할 수 있어 뜻깊다”며 “사우디 유망 스타트업들이 아시아 시장 진출 가능성을 확인하고 상호 보완적인 파트너십을 확대해나가는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

Global accelerator SparkLabs (CEO Kim Yu-jin) and SparkLabs Saudi (CEO Ivan Grlic) announced that they will run the 'Tech Founder in Korea 2025' program together with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) until December 12.
Tech Founder is a project promoted by the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to revitalize the country's startup ecosystem and strengthen the capabilities of entrepreneurs. This is the third project to be launched in Korea, following Singapore last year and the UK in the first half of this year.
This program will feature 20 promising technology startups, directly selected by the Saudi government, who will experience the Korean startup ecosystem and cutting-edge technology infrastructure for six weeks, exploring collaboration opportunities and strategies for entering the Asian market.
Co-host SparkLabs will provide a nurturing program including ▲ networking with promising startup founders ▲ strategic meetups between investors and large corporations ▲ company diagnosis and one-on-one customized mentoring, as well as visits to major domestic corporations and institutions. In addition, it will also set up a 'Come Up' booth where Saudi startups can be introduced and cooperation discussed.
Additionally, on December 8th, Saudi startups will hold a private demo day where they can present their business models and visions to domestic investors and startup officials, and establish investment attraction links and partnerships.
Since last year, SparkLabs has been collaborating with Saudi government agencies to build a local startup ecosystem and support Korean startups' expansion into the Middle East. Currently, SparkLabs operates the Saudi AI startup accelerator program "AIM-X" and the "AIM AI" fund, which received a total investment of $50 million (approximately KRW 67 billion) from the Saudi government.

“科技创始人”项目由沙特阿拉伯通信和信息技术部发起，旨在重振该国的创业生态系统，并提升创业者的能力。这是继去年在新加坡和今年上半年在英国之后，该项目在韩国启动的第三个项目。

L'accélérateur mondial SparkLabs (PDG Kim Yu-jin) et SparkLabs Saudi (PDG Ivan Grlic) ont annoncé qu'ils mèneront le programme « Tech Founder in Korea 2025 » en collaboration avec le ministère saoudien des Communications et des Technologies de l'information (MCIT) jusqu'au 12 décembre.
Tech Founder est un projet du ministère saoudien des Communications et des Technologies de l'information visant à dynamiser l'écosystème des startups du pays et à renforcer les compétences des entrepreneurs. Il s'agit du troisième projet de ce type lancé en Corée, après Singapour l'an dernier et le Royaume-Uni au premier semestre de cette année.
Ce programme mettra en vedette 20 jeunes entreprises technologiques prometteuses, sélectionnées directement par le gouvernement saoudien, qui découvriront pendant six semaines l'écosystème des startups coréennes et son infrastructure technologique de pointe, explorant les opportunités de collaboration et les stratégies d'entrée sur le marché asiatique.
SparkLabs, co-organisateur, proposera un programme d'accompagnement comprenant : ▲ des rencontres avec des fondateurs de startups prometteuses ; ▲ des rencontres stratégiques entre investisseurs et grandes entreprises ; ▲ un diagnostic d'entreprise et un mentorat individuel personnalisé, ainsi que des visites d'importantes entreprises et institutions nationales. De plus, un stand « Come Up » sera installé afin de présenter les startups saoudiennes et d'évoquer les possibilités de collaboration.
Par ailleurs, le 8 décembre, les startups saoudiennes organiseront une journée de démonstration privée où elles pourront présenter leurs modèles commerciaux et leurs visions aux investisseurs locaux et aux responsables des startups, et établir des liens et des partenariats pour attirer les investissements.
Depuis l'année dernière, SparkLabs collabore avec des agences gouvernementales saoudiennes pour développer un écosystème de startups locales et soutenir l'expansion des startups coréennes au Moyen-Orient. SparkLabs gère actuellement le programme d'accélération de startups en intelligence artificielle « AIM-X » et le fonds « AIM AI », qui a bénéficié d'un investissement total de 50 millions de dollars (environ 67 milliards de wons coréens) de la part du gouvernement saoudien.
Kim Yu-jin, PDG de SparkLabs, a déclaré : « Ce programme nous permet de présenter l’infrastructure et l’écosystème technologiques de pointe de la Corée, véritable pôle d’innovation en Asie.
