바이오 스타트업 온코랩(대표 김종성)이 면역항암 플랫폼 ANGel(ANtibody-conjugated microGel) 기술을 기반으로 퓨처플레이로부터 10억 원 규모의 Pre-A 투자를 유치했다고 11일 밝혔다.
온코랩은 이번 자금을 활용해 GLP 비임상 시험과 GMP 기반 시설 확충을 진행하며 글로벌 임상 진입을 준비할 계획이다. ANGel 플랫폼은 생체적합성이 우수한 마이크로젤을 이용한 정밀 약물전달(DDS) 기술로, 저분자 항암제를 종양 내에서 지속적으로 방출해 전신 독성을 최소화하고 치료 효능을 높이는 것이 특징이다.
이 플랫폼은 항체와 항암제를 하나의 마이크로젤 입자에 결합해 암세포 인식, 면역 활성화, 항암제 방출을 동시에 수행한다. 입자 표면에 부착된 항체는 암세포를 정확히 타깃팅하고 면역 반응을 증폭하며, 내부의 항암제는 종양 주변에서 천천히 방출된다.
온코랩은 삼중음성유방암(TNBC)을 첫 적응증으로 개발 중이며, 항체 조합 변경을 통해 전립선암과 비소세포성 폐암 등 다양한 고형암으로 확장 가능한 모듈형 플랫폼 전략을 추진하고 있다. 현재 GLP 독성시험과 인간화 마우스 효능시험을 진행 중이며, 2026년 IND 제출을 목표로 글로벌 임상 준비를 가속화하고 있다.

Oncolab secures 1 billion won in investment
Bio startup Oncolab (CEO Jongseong Kim) announced on the 11th that it has attracted 1 billion won in Pre-A investment from Futureplay based on its immune-oncology platform ANGel (ANTibody-conjugated microGel) technology.
Oncolab plans to use this funding to conduct GLP non-clinical trials and expand its GMP-based facilities, preparing for global clinical trials. The ANGel platform is a precision drug delivery (DDS) technology utilizing biocompatible microgels. Its unique feature is the sustained release of small-molecule anticancer agents within tumors, minimizing systemic toxicity and enhancing therapeutic efficacy.
This platform combines antibodies and anticancer drugs into a single microgel particle, simultaneously recognizing cancer cells, activating the immune system, and releasing the anticancer drug. Antibodies attached to the particle surface precisely target cancer cells and amplify the immune response, while the anticancer drug inside is slowly released around the tumor.
OncoLab is developing the drug for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) as its initial indication and is pursuing a modular platform strategy that can be expanded to various solid tumors, including prostate cancer and non-small cell lung cancer, through modifications to the antibody combination. GLP toxicity studies and humanized mouse efficacy trials are currently underway, and global clinical preparations are accelerating, with the goal of submitting an IND in 2026.

Oncolab prévoit d'utiliser ce financement pour mener des essais précliniques conformes aux BPL et agrandir ses installations respectant les BPF, en vue d'essais cliniques internationaux. La plateforme ANGel est une technologie d'administration de médicaments de précision (DDS) utilisant des microgels biocompatibles. Sa particularité réside dans la libération prolongée d'agents anticancéreux à petites molécules au sein des tumeurs, minimisant ainsi la toxicité systémique et améliorant l'efficacité thérapeutique.
Cette plateforme combine anticorps et médicaments anticancéreux au sein d'une seule particule de microgel, reconnaissant simultanément les cellules cancéreuses, activant le système immunitaire et libérant le médicament anticancéreux. Les anticorps fixés à la surface de la particule ciblent précisément les cellules cancéreuses et amplifient la réponse immunitaire, tandis que le médicament anticancéreux est libéré lentement autour de la tumeur.
OncoLab développe ce médicament pour le cancer du sein triple négatif (CSTN) comme indication initiale et privilégie une stratégie de plateforme modulaire pouvant être étendue à diverses tumeurs solides, notamment le cancer de la prostate et le cancer du poumon non à petites cellules, grâce à des modifications de la combinaison d'anticorps. Des études de toxicité conformes aux BPL et des essais d'efficacité sur des souris humanisées sont en cours, et les préparatifs cliniques internationaux s'accélèrent, avec pour objectif le dépôt d'une demande d'autorisation d'essai clinique (IND) en 2026.
