라이프스타일 테크 기업 ㈜커버써먼(CVSM, 대표 이재호)이 중국 엑스텝인터내셔널 홀딩스의 산하 기업인 KP글로벌인베스트먼트(KP Global Investment, 이하 KP글로벌)와 ‘에어 필로우 키트(Air Pillow Kit)’ 공급을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 13일 밝혔다.
에어 필로우 키트는 커버써먼이 자체 개발한 ‘에어테크(Air Tech)’ 기술이 적용된 기능성 소재로, 의류 내부에 공기를 주입해 충전재로 활용하는 것이 특징이다. 무게는 가볍지만 보온성과 복원력이 뛰어나며 공기 충전식 목 지지 구조를 적용해 착용 시 안정감을 제공한다.
이번 협약은 커버써먼의 에어테크 기술을 바탕으로 양사가 고기능성 스포츠웨어 시장에서의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 추진됐다. KP글로벌은 에어 필로우 키트를 케이스위스 ‘K.UBE’ 라인에 적용해 제품 차별화와 프리미엄 라인 확장에 나설 예정이다.
커버써먼은 이번 계약을 계기로 에어 필로우 키트에 대한 중국 특허를 등록하며 현지 지식재산권(IP) 보호 체계를 강화했다. 향후 KP글로벌과의 협업으로 중국 내 생산 및 유통 네트워크를 단계적으로 확대하고 현지 시장을 적극 공략할 계획이다.
KP글로벌은 케이스위스·팔라디움 등 글로벌 스포츠 브랜드의 IP를 보유하고 있으며 중국 시장에서 사업을 활발히 전개하고 있다. 엑스텝인터내셔널 홀딩스는 중국 대표 스포츠웨어 브랜드 ‘엑스텝’을 운영, 현재 운동화·의류 등 스포츠 및 라이프스타일 제품을 판매하며 글로벌 전역에 6300여 개의 매장을 운영 중이다.
커버써먼은 공기·열·자외선 등 자연 요소를 활용해 지속 가능한 섬유소재 기술을 개발하고 있는 라이프스타일 테크 기업이다. 지금까지 데상트, K2, 네파, ANA항공 등 아시아 시장을 비롯해 유럽 명품 브랜드 B사와 미국 SPA 브랜드 갭(GAP) 등에 소재를 납품하며 친환경 기술력을 인정받고 있다.

The Air Pillow Kit is a functional material featuring Coverthermon's proprietary "Air Tech" technology, which injects air into the garment to act as a filling material. Despite its lightweight design, it boasts excellent thermal insulation and resilience, and its air-filled neck support structure provides a comfortable and stable fit.
This agreement, leveraging CoverSurman's AirTech technology, aims to strengthen both companies' competitiveness in the high-performance sportswear market. KP Global plans to apply the Air Pillow Kit to Case Swiss's "K.UBE" line, further differentiating its products and expanding its premium line.
With this agreement, Coversummon has secured a Chinese patent for its air pillow kit, strengthening its local intellectual property (IP) protection system. Going forward, Coversummon plans to collaborate with KP Global to gradually expand its production and distribution network in China and aggressively target the local market.

Xstep International Holdings operates Xstep, a leading Chinese sportswear brand, and currently sells sports and lifestyle products, including sneakers and apparel, through approximately 6,300 stores worldwide.
