서진시스템은 글로벌 에너지저장장치(ESS) 기업과 약 1,853억 원 규모의 공급 계약을 체결했다고 26일 공시를 통해 밝혔다. 이번 계약 금액은 지난해 매출액의 약 15.3%에 해당하는 규모다.
이번 공급 제품은 전량 미국향 ESS이며, 90% 이상이 텍사스 휴스턴에 새롭게 설립된 서진시스템 미국 공장에서 생산된다. 회사 측은 올해 초 관세 이슈로 북미향 수주가 부재했으나, 현지 생산 인프라 구축 완료와 함께 고객사의 대형 프로젝트 재개로 공급이 다시 확대되고 있다고 설명했다.
이번에 공급되는 제품은 대규모 전력망용 인프라에 적용되는 고사양 중대형 ESS로, 기존 제품 대비 단가가 높은 프리미엄급 모델이다. 이에 따라 매출 기여도가 클 것으로 기대되며, 그동안 이연됐던 미국향 수요가 빠르게 회복되는 추세에 따라 추가 수주 가능성도 제기되고 있다.
ESS 시장 중 미국 시장은 가장 높은 성장성을 보이는 전략지역으로 평가된다. AI 산업 확대로 전력 수요가 급증하고, 주요 빅테크 기업들의 데이터센터 투자가 늘면서 ESS는 전력 안정성을 위한 핵심 인프라로 자리 잡고 있다. 서진시스템은 이러한 변화에 맞춰 미국 현지 생산기지를 구축하며 대형 프로젝트 수주 확대에 속도를 내고 있다.
서진시스템 관계자는 “AI 확산으로 ESS 수요가 폭발적으로 증가하는 시점에서 확보한 대형 수주는 북미 시장에서의 생산 역량과 제품 경쟁력을 입증한 결과”라며 “미국과 베트남에 걸친 글로벌 공급망을 기반으로 북미 ESS 수요에 적극 대응하겠다”고 말했다.

In response to these changes, Seojin Systems is establishing a local production base in the US and accelerating its expansion of large-scale project orders.
A Seojin Systems official said, “At a time when demand for ESS is explosively increasing due to the spread of AI, securing this large order is a demonstration of our production capacity and product competitiveness in the North American market,” adding, “We will actively respond to the demand for ESS in North America based on our global supply chain spanning the U.S. and Vietnam.”
