미래 모빌리티 플랫폼 기업 아이엘(대표 송성근)은 10일 AI·설계·데이터 기반 DX 기술을 보유한 엑스와이지와 스마트제조 및 로봇 자동화 분야의 전략적 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
아이엘은 글로벌 로봇기업 A사와의 기술 제휴를 기반으로 한국형 휴머노이드 로봇 ‘아이엘봇(ILBot)’ 개발을 진행해왔으며, 그룹사의 핵심 기술을 바탕으로 피지컬 AI 밸류체인을 구축해왔다. 이번 협력은 아이엘의 제조·모빌리티 역량과 엑스와이지의 AI·DX 기술을 결합해 로봇 지능 고도화와 제조환경 실증 속도를 높이기 위한 전략적 조치로 평가된다.
양사는 최근 공개된 세미휴머노이드 로봇 아이엘봇 C2 모델을 중심으로 엑스와이지의 차세대 지능 플랫폼 ‘브레인엑스(BrainX)’를 적용해 실증을 추진할 계획이다. 제조 현장의 실제 조작 데이터를 기반으로 실사용 시나리오를 도출하고, 이를 통해 지능 및 제어 기술 고도화를 진행한다.
협력 체계에서 아이엘은 로봇 하드웨어 개발 및 현장 데이터 확보를 담당하고, 엑스와이지는 로봇 지능·제어 소프트웨어 개발을 맡는다. 엑스와이지는 다수의 기관투자로부터 기술성과 성장성을 인정받은 기업으로, 이번 협력을 통해 아이엘봇 지능 향상에 핵심 역할을 수행할 것으로 전망된다.
브레인엑스 적용 타당성이 검증될 경우 아이엘봇 전 라인업으로 확대 적용되며, 구축된 학습 모델은 국내 제조산업 전반으로 확장될 예정이다. 특히 아이엘봇 C2 모델에서 수집되는 정밀 작업 데이터는 로봇 지능 고도화를 위한 중요한 기반으로 활용된다.

IL signs business agreement with XYG
Future mobility platform company IL (CEO Song Seong-geun) announced on the 10th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) in the fields of smart manufacturing and robot automation with XYG, which possesses AI, design, and data-based DX technology.
Based on a technological partnership with global robotics company A, IL has been developing a Korean-style humanoid robot, "ILBot," and has been building a physical AI value chain based on the group's core technologies. This collaboration is seen as a strategic move to combine IL's manufacturing and mobility capabilities with XyG's AI and DX technologies to accelerate the advancement of robot intelligence and manufacturing environment verification.
The two companies plan to conduct a demonstration using XyG's next-generation intelligence platform, "BrainX," centered around the recently unveiled semi-humanoid robot, the IELbot C2 model. They will derive real-world scenarios based on actual operating data from manufacturing sites, and use these to advance intelligence and control technologies.
Within the collaborative framework, IL will be responsible for developing robot hardware and securing field data, while Xyzy will be responsible for developing robot intelligence and control software. Xyzy, a company recognized for its technological prowess and growth potential by numerous institutional investors, is expected to play a key role in enhancing ILbot's intelligence through this collaboration.
If BrainX's feasibility is verified, it will be expanded to the entire ILbot lineup, and the developed learning model will be expanded across the domestic manufacturing industry. In particular, the precision work data collected from the ILbot C2 model will serve as a crucial foundation for advancing robot intelligence.
