콘텐츠 크리에이터 플랫폼 기업 ㈜산돌(대표 윤영호)은 벤처기업협회가 주관하는 ‘2025 벤처창업진흥유공 포상’에서 국무총리표창 수상 기업으로 선정됐다고 15일 밝혔다. 시상식은 지난 10일 서울 코엑스 그랜드볼룸에서 열렸으며, 산돌은 벤처활성화 벤처기업인 부문에서 최고 영예를 받았다.
벤처창업진흥유공 포상은 기술력, 경영 혁신성, 글로벌 성장 가능성, 기업윤리, 사회공헌 활동 등을 종합 평가해 우수 벤처기업을 선정하는 제도다. 산돌은 AI 기술 기반 서비스 혁신, 고품질 폰트 개발, 다국어 폰트 기술력, 사회적 가치 확산 공로를 인정받았다.
산돌은 독자적인 폰트 설계 기준에 AI를 접목해 산돌구름에 AI 기반 폰트 검색과 자동 추천 기능을 적용, 사용자 경험과 폰트 활용 효율성을 높였다. 또한 웹폰트 기술 관련 특허를 확보하며 고속 렌더링과 경량화 등 다양한 디바이스 환경에서 최적화된 사용성을 제공해 콘텐츠 제작 생산성을 개선했다.
콘텐츠 산업 확장에 맞춰 산돌은 디지털·글로벌 환경에 최적화된 다국어 및 브랜딩 특화 폰트를 지속 개발하며 국내외 기업의 시각 정체성 구축을 지원하고 있다. 글로벌 시장에서도 CJK 기반 다국어 폰트 프로젝트 확대와 애플, IBM, 삼성전자, LG 등 기업과의 커스텀 폰트 개발을 통해 기술력과 신뢰도를 확보했다. 2023년 이미지 콘텐츠 기업 비비트리, 2024년 윤디자인 인수를 통해 폰트 IP와 이미지 콘텐츠 역량을 강화하며 종합 크리에이티브 IP 기업으로 사업 구조를 확장했다.
사회적 가치 측면에서도 산돌은 국내 최대 무료폰트 생태계를 구축하고 공공·교육기관 및 비영리 단체에 폰트를 제공해 창작 접근성을 높였다. 산돌문화재단을 중심으로 한글 문화자산 보호, 창작 생태계 강화, 폰트 저작권 인식 개선, 창작자 지원 프로그램 등 ESG 활동을 이어가고 있다.
