에듀테크, 콘텐츠, 임팩트 분야 전문 벤처캐피탈 그랜드벤처스는 알트에이에 시리즈 A 투자를 완료했다고 19일 밝혔다. 이번 투자 라운드에는 그랜드벤처스 외에 IBK 기업은행, 케이알벤처스가 참여했으며, 투자 규모와 밸류에이션은 비공개다.
알트에이는 골목길과 생활도로 등 라스트마일 구간에서 발생하는 교통 안전 문제를 인공지능 기술로 해결하는 기업이다. 주력 제품인 ‘알트플러스’는 CCTV 지능화 모듈로 딥러닝 기반 실시간 객체 인식 기술을 통해 보행자와 차량의 종류를 감지하고, 라스트마일 구간의 교통 데이터를 수집해 통행 가능 여부, 불법주정차, 인구 밀집도 등의 정보를 제공한다. 기존 CCTV 설치 환경에서도 추가 장치 없이 적용 가능한 엣지 AI 디바이스로, 모듈 간 워치독 기능과 내구성으로 24시간 안정적인 데이터 수집이 가능하다.
이태우 알트에이 대표는 “이번 투자유치를 통해 기술 고도화와 사업 확장을 위한 기반을 마련하게 됐다”며 “내년 1분기까지 투자 라운드를 최종 마무리하고 글로벌 라스트마일 교통인프라 시장을 선도하겠다”고 밝혔다.
그랜드벤처스 한정규 대표 파트너는 “라스트마일 구간은 기술적 해법이 부족했던 영역으로, 알트에이는 엣지 AI와 데이터 처리 기술을 통해 문제를 해결하고 있다”며 “기술력과 전국 단위 사업 성과, 글로벌 시장 잠재력까지 갖춘 팀으로 평가했다”고 말했다. 그랜드벤처스는 국내 최고 수준의 벤처 전문가 네트워크를 활용해 중앙정부, 지방자치단체, 공공기관과의 대관 업무 및 교통 관련 정책 지원을 전폭적으로 지원할 계획이다.

Grand Ventures invests in AltA
Grand Ventures, a venture capital firm specializing in edtech, content, and impact, announced on the 19th that it has completed a Series A investment in AltA. In addition to Grand Ventures, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea and KR Ventures participated in this round. The investment size and valuation were not disclosed.
AltA is a company that uses AI technology to address traffic safety issues arising in last-mile areas, such as alleyways and residential streets. Its flagship product, "AltPlus," is a CCTV intelligence module that uses deep learning-based real-time object recognition technology to detect pedestrians and vehicles. It also collects traffic data from last-mile areas, providing information on traffic availability, illegal parking, and population density. This edge AI device can be deployed in existing CCTV installations without additional equipment, and its inter-module watchdog function and durability ensure stable 24/7 data collection.
“Through this investment, we have laid the foundation for technological advancement and business expansion,” said Lee Tae-woo, CEO of Alt-A. “We aim to finalize the investment round by the first quarter of next year and lead the global last-mile transportation infrastructure market.”
Grand Ventures Managing Partner Han Jeong-gyu said, "The last mile is an area where technological solutions have been lacking, and AltA is solving this problem through edge AI and data processing technology." He added, "We evaluated the team as possessing technological prowess, nationwide business performance, and global market potential." グランドベンチャーズのハンギュンギュ代表パートナーは「ラストマイル区間は技術的解法が不足していた領域で、アルトエイはエッジAIとデータ処理技術を通じて問題を解決している」とし「技術力と全国単位事業成果、グローバル市場潜在力まで備えたチームで評価した」と話した。グランドベンチャーズは国内最高水準のベンチャー専門家ネットワークを活用して中央政府、地方自治体、公共機関との対官業務及び交通関連政策支援を全面的に支援する計画だ。
