포티투닷은 SDV 생태계 강화를 위해 독일자동차산업협회(VDA)와 협력하고, 자동차 오픈 소스 소프트웨어 재단 중 하나인 ‘이클립스 재단’에 참여해 개방형 협업을 추진한다고 8일 밝혔다.
포티투닷은 ‘오토모티브 그레이드(Automotive-Grade)’ 오픈 소스 소프트웨어 생태계 구축을 목표로 VDA와 MOU를 체결하고, 자동차 산업 전반을 아우르는 32개 글로벌 기업과 협력하는 프로젝트를 시작했다.
이번 프로젝트는 재단 산하 워킹그룹 ‘이클립스 SDV’의 오픈 소스 소프트웨어 스택 ‘이클립스 에스코어(S-CORE)’를 중심으로 진행된다. 포티투닷을 비롯해 완성차 제조사, 부품 및 소프트웨어 공급사, 반도체 기업, 클라우드 전문 기업 등 다양한 글로벌 기업이 참여한다.
협업을 통해 참여 기업들은 ▲비차별화 소프트웨어 영역에서 개발, 통합, 유지보수에 필요한 시간과 비용을 최대 40% 절감하고 ▲차량용 공통 부품을 활용해 시장 출시 소요 시간을 최대 30% 단축하며 고객 중심의 차별화된 경험 제공에 집중할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
포티투닷은 ‘이클립스 SDV’ 참여를 통해 현재 개발 중인 SDV 풀스택 플랫폼과 소프트웨어 기술력을 글로벌 오픈 소스 생태계와 연계하고, 안전성이 강화된 차량용 소프트웨어를 설계해 신뢰할 수 있는 소프트웨어 기반을 구축할 계획이다.
포티투닷 최진희 임시대표는 “안전이 핵심인 자동차 소프트웨어 영역에서 개방형 협업은 SDV 실현에 필수적”이라며, “포티투닷의 소프트웨어, 데이터, 모빌리티 플랫폼 경험을 바탕으로 완성차 제조사가 신뢰할 수 있는 통합 소프트웨어 기반 구축에 기여하겠다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “이클립스 재단 및 글로벌 파트너들과 함께 커넥티드, 자율주행, SDV 시대를 여는 데 전념할 것”이라고 덧붙였다.

FortyDot Joins the Eclipse Foundation in Collaboration with VDA
Forty2Dot announced on the 8th that it will cooperate with the German Automotive Industry Association (VDA) to strengthen the SDV ecosystem and participate in the Eclipse Foundation, one of the automotive open source software foundations, to promote open collaboration.
Forti2Dot signed an MOU with VDA with the goal of building an 'Automotive-Grade' open source software ecosystem and began a project to collaborate with 32 global companies spanning the automotive industry.
This project will be centered around the Eclipse S-CORE open-source software stack, developed by the Eclipse SDV working group under the foundation. A diverse range of global companies, including Forty2Dot, automakers, parts and software suppliers, semiconductor companies, and cloud specialists, are participating.
Through collaboration, participating companies are expected to ▲reduce the time and cost required for development, integration, and maintenance in non-differentiated software areas by up to 40%, ▲shorten time to market by up to 30% by utilizing common automotive components, and ▲focus on providing differentiated customer-centric experiences.
By participating in 'Eclipse SDV', Forti2Dot plans to link its SDV full-stack platform and software technology currently under development with the global open source ecosystem, and to design safety-enhanced vehicle software to build a reliable software foundation.
Forty2Dot's Interim CEO, Jinhee Choi, stated, "In the automotive software sector, where safety is paramount, open collaboration is essential to realizing SDV." She added, "Based on Forty2Dot's experience in software, data, and mobility platforms, we will contribute to building a trusted, integrated software foundation for automakers." She added, "Together with the Eclipse Foundation and global partners, we are committed to ushering in the era of connected, autonomous, and SDV."

Forti2Dot a signé un protocole d'accord avec VDA dans le but de construire un écosystème de logiciels libres de qualité automobile et a lancé un projet de collaboration avec 32 entreprises mondiales couvrant l'industrie automobile.
Ce projet s'articulera autour de la pile logicielle open source Eclipse S-CORE, développée par le groupe de travail Eclipse SDV sous l'égide de la fondation. De nombreuses entreprises internationales, dont Forty2Dot, des constructeurs automobiles, des équipementiers, des fournisseurs de logiciels, des fabricants de semi-conducteurs et des spécialistes du cloud, y participent.
Grâce à la collaboration, les entreprises participantes devraient ▲réduire jusqu'à 40 % le temps et les coûts nécessaires au développement, à l'intégration et à la maintenance dans les domaines logiciels non différenciés, ▲réduire jusqu'à 30 % le délai de mise sur le marché en utilisant des composants automobiles communs et ▲se concentrer sur la fourniture d'expériences client différenciées.
En participant à « Eclipse SDV », Forti2Dot prévoit de relier sa plateforme SDV complète et sa technologie logicielle actuellement en développement à l'écosystème open source mondial, et de concevoir un logiciel de véhicule à sécurité améliorée pour construire une base logicielle fiable.
