비전 AI 올인원 솔루션 기업 슈퍼브에이아이(대표 김현수)는 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신산업진흥원(NIPA)이 주관하는 국가대표 AI 파운데이션 모델 구축 사업의 2차 수행 컨소시엄에 LG AI연구원과 함께 최종 선정됐다고 19일 밝혔다. 해당 컨소시엄은 모든 평가 항목에서 1위를 기록했다.
슈퍼브에이아이는 지난 14일 발표된 1차 사업 결과에서 LG AI연구원 컨소시엄과 함께 초거대 AI 학습용 멀티모달 데이터 구축을 완료했다. LG AI연구원 컨소시엄은 벤치마크, 전문가 평가, 사용자 평가 전 부문에서 최고점을 획득하며 기술 경쟁력을 입증했다. 2차 사업은 초거대 AI 성능 고도화와 산업 전반으로의 확산을 목표로 연구개발을 추진한다.
슈퍼브에이아이는 이번 2차 과제 중 가상 환경에 머물던 AI를 실제 물리적 환경으로 확장하는 피지컬 AI 구현을 담당한다. 피지컬 AI는 현실 세계를 인지하고 로봇이나 자율 시스템을 통해 행동하는 기술로, 로보틱스와 자율주행 등 미래 산업의 핵심 기술로 평가된다. 슈퍼브에이아이는 피지컬 AI 구현의 기반이 되는 고난도 비전 데이터 기술을 전담한다.
회사는 비전 AI 분야에서 축적한 시각 정보 처리 및 3차원 공간 정보 해석 기술을 활용해 LG AI연구원의 초거대 AI 모델 엑사원(EXAONE)이 물리적 세계를 이해하도록 지원할 예정이다.
김현수 슈퍼브에이아이 대표는 이번 사업을 통해 자사의 기술 역량을 검증하고, 글로벌 피지컬 AI 시장에서 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있도록 데이터 인프라와 기술 표준을 제시하겠다고 밝혔다.
이번 컨소시엄에는 LG AI연구원을 중심으로 LG유플러스, LG CNS 등 LG그룹 계열사와 함께 슈퍼브에이아이, 퓨리오사AI, 프렌들리AI, 이스트소프트, 이스트에이드, 한글과컴퓨터, 뤼튼테크놀로지스 등 총 10개 기업이 참여해 AI 전 주기에 걸친 한국형 AI 전환 생태계 자립을 목표로 협력하고 있다.
한편 슈퍼브에이아이는 비전 AI 도입 전 과정을 지원하는 슈퍼브 플랫폼과 실시간 영상 분석 기반의 슈퍼브 영상관제 솔루션을 통해 제조, 보안, 로보틱스 등 다양한 산업 분야에서 AI 전환을 지원하고 있다.

Superb AI and the LG AI Research Institute Consortium have been selected for the second phase of the National AI Foundation Model Project.
Superb AI (CEO Hyunsoo Kim) , a vision AI all-in-one solution company, announced on the 19th that it, along with LG AI Research Institute, was selected as the second consortium to implement the National AI Foundation Model Construction Project, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA). Superb AI, in its first project results announced on the 14th, completed the construction of a multimodal data set for ultra-large-scale AI training in collaboration with the LG AI Research Consortium. The second project will pursue research and development aimed at enhancing ultra-large-scale AI performance and expanding its reach across industries.
SuperbAI is responsible for implementing physical AI, which extends AI from virtual environments to the physical realm. Physical AI, a technology that perceives the real world and enables robots or autonomous systems to take action, is considered a core technology for future industries such as robotics and autonomous driving. SuperbAI is dedicated to the high-level vision data technology that forms the foundation for implementing physical AI.
The company plans to use its accumulated visual information processing and 3D spatial information interpretation technologies in the field of vision AI to help LG AI Research Institute's ultra-large AI model EXAONE understand the physical world.
Kim Hyun-soo, CEO of Superb AI, stated that through this project, the company will verify its technological capabilities and present data infrastructure and technology standards to secure competitiveness in the global physical AI market.
This consortium is comprised of a total of 10 companies, including LG Group affiliates such as LG U+ and LG CNS, LG AI Research Center, Superb AI, Furiosa AI, Friendly AI, Eastsoft, East Aid, Hangul & Computer, and Rutton Technologies, who are collaborating with the goal of achieving self-reliance in the Korean AI transition ecosystem throughout the entire AI cycle.
Meanwhile, Superb AI is supporting AI transformation in various industries such as manufacturing, security, and robotics through the Superb platform, which supports the entire process of introducing vision AI, and the Superb video surveillance solution based on real-time video analysis.

Superb AI et le consortium LG AI Research Institute ont été sélectionnés pour la deuxième phase du projet modèle de la National AI Foundation.
Superb AI (PDG : Hyunsoo Kim) , société spécialisée dans les solutions d'IA visionnelles intégrées, a annoncé le 19 juin avoir été sélectionnée, avec l'Institut de recherche en IA de LG, comme deuxième consortium chargé de la mise en œuvre du projet de construction du modèle de la Fondation nationale pour l'IA, piloté par le ministère des Sciences et des TIC et l'Agence nationale de promotion de l'industrie des technologies de l'information (NIPA).
