딥테크 액셀러레이터 블루포인트파트너스는 포스코홀딩스와의 컴퍼니빌딩 프로젝트를 통해 차세대 고온수전해(SOEC) 솔루션 기업 엔포러스(Enforus)를 설립하고 투자를 집행했다고 21일 밝혔다.
이번 컴퍼니빌딩 프로젝트는 대기업이 보유한 기술을 신속하게 사업화하기 위한 새로운 형태의 협업 모델로, 포스코홀딩스가 보유한 SOEC 원천 기술과 블루포인트의 기획 및 사업화 역량이 결합됐다.
엔포러스는 동일 전류 밀도 기준에서 수소 생산량을 높일 수 있는 고효율 SOEC 스택 기술을 핵심 경쟁력으로 보유하고 있다. SOEC는 고온 환경에서 물을 전기분해해 수소를 생산하는 기술로, 기존 알칼라인 수전해 방식 대비 에너지 효율이 높아 탄소중립 실현을 위한 핵심 기술로 평가된다.
양사는 대기업의 검증된 기술 자산을 스타트업의 독립적인 운영 체계와 결합해 시장 대응력과 확장성을 높인다는 전략에 따라 엔포러스에 독립적인 의사결정 구조를 부여했다. 이를 통해 포스코의 기술적 자산을 기반으로 하면서도 스타트업 특유의 기동성을 확보해 급변하는 시장 환경에 대응할 수 있도록 했다.
기술 리더십과 사업 추진력을 강화하기 위해 포스코 산하 실용화 전문 연구기관인 포항산업과학연구원(RIST)에서 SOEC 연구개발을 주도해 온 안진수 박사가 엔포러스 대표이사로 선임됐다. 해당 기술의 핵심 연구 인력도 함께 합류해 기술 개발과 사업화를 담당할 예정이다.
포스코홀딩스와 블루포인트파트너스는 법인 설립과 동시에 시드 투자를 집행했으며, 향후 엔포러스의 지속적인 성장을 위한 지원을 이어갈 계획이다. 양사는 기술 발굴 단계부터 창업에 이르기까지 전 과정을 공동으로 기획했다.
엔포러스의 고효율 SOEC 스택 기술은 포스코그룹이 추진 중인 2050 탄소중립 목표 달성을 위한 핵심 기술 기반 중 하나로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

Bluepoint invests in joint venture with POSCO Holdings to establish hydrogen startup Enphorus.
Deep tech accelerator Bluepoint Partners announced on the 21st that it established and invested in Enforus, a next-generation high-temperature solid oxide electrolysis (SOEC) solution company, through a company building project with POSCO Holdings .
This company building project is a new form of collaboration model for rapidly commercializing technologies owned by large corporations, combining POSCO Holdings' SOEC core technology with Bluepoint's planning and commercialization capabilities.
Enphorus' core competitive edge lies in its high-efficiency SOEC stack technology, which can increase hydrogen production at the same current density. SOEC, a technology that produces hydrogen through water electrolysis in high-temperature environments, offers higher energy efficiency than conventional alkaline water electrolysis methods and is considered a key technology for achieving carbon neutrality.
The two companies have granted Enphorus an independent decision-making structure, based on a strategy of combining the proven technological assets of a large corporation with the independent operational system of a startup to enhance market responsiveness and scalability. This approach allows Enphorus to leverage POSCO's technological assets while maintaining the agility of a startup, enabling it to respond to rapidly changing market conditions.
To strengthen technological leadership and business drive, Dr. Jinsoo Ahn, who has led SOEC research and development at the Research Institute of Industrial Science and Technology (RIST), a POSCO-affiliated research institute specializing in commercialization, has been appointed CEO of Enphorus. Key research personnel for the technology will also join the company, overseeing technology development and commercialization.
POSCO Holdings and Bluepoint Partners made a seed investment upon the company's incorporation and plan to continue supporting Enphorus's continued growth. The two companies jointly planned the entire process, from technology discovery to launch.
Enphorus' high-efficiency SOEC stack technology is expected to serve as one of the core technology foundations for achieving the 2050 carbon neutrality goal being pursued by the POSCO Group.

両社は、大企業の検証された技術資産をスタートアップの独立した運営体系と組み合わせ、市場対応力と拡張性を高めるという戦略に従って、エンポラスに独立した意思決定構造を付与した。これにより、ポスコの技術的資産を基盤にしながらもスタートアップ特有の機動性を確保し、急変する市場環境に対応できるようにした。
技術リーダーシップと事業推進力を強化するため、ポスコ傘下の実用化専門研究機関である浦項産業科学研究院（RIST）でSOEC研究開発を主導してきたアン・ジンス博士がエンポラス代表理事に選任された。当該技術の核心研究人材も共に合流し、技術開発と事業化を担当する予定だ。
ポスコホールディングスとブルーポイントパートナーズは法人設立と同時にシード投資を執行し、今後エンポラスの継続的な成長のための支援を続ける計画だ。両社は技術発掘段階から創業に至るまで全過程を共同で企画した。
エンポラスの高効率SOECスタック技術は、ポスコグループが推進中の2050炭素中立目標達成のためのコア技術基盤の一つとして活用されることが期待される。

L’accélérateur de technologies de pointe Bluepoint Partners a annoncé le 21 avoir créé et investi dans Enforus, une entreprise de solutions d’électrolyse à oxyde solide (SOEC) de nouvelle génération à haute température, par le biais d’un projet de création d’entreprise avec POSCO Holdings .
Ce projet de création d'entreprise est une nouvelle forme de modèle de collaboration pour la commercialisation rapide de technologies appartenant à de grandes entreprises, combinant la technologie de base SOEC de POSCO Holdings avec les capacités de planification et de commercialisation de Bluepoint.
Le principal atout concurrentiel d'Enphorus réside dans sa technologie de pile SOEC à haut rendement, qui permet d'accroître la production d'hydrogène à densité de courant égale. La SOEC, technologie de production d'hydrogène par électrolyse de l'eau à haute température, offre une efficacité énergétique supérieure aux méthodes d'électrolyse alcaline classiques et est considérée comme une technologie clé pour atteindre la neutralité carbone.
Les deux entreprises ont accordé à Enphorus une structure décisionnelle indépendante, fondée sur une stratégie alliant la puissance technologique éprouvée d'un grand groupe à l'agilité opérationnelle d'une start-up, afin d'optimiser sa réactivité et sa capacité de croissance. Cette approche permet à Enphorus de tirer parti des atouts technologiques de POSCO tout en conservant la flexibilité d'une start-up, lui permettant ainsi de s'adapter rapidement à l'évolution du marché.
Afin de renforcer le leadership technologique et le dynamisme commercial d'Enphorus, le Dr Jinsoo Ahn, qui a dirigé la recherche et le développement de SOEC au sein du Research Institute of Industrial Science and Technology (RIST), un institut de recherche affilié à POSCO et spécialisé dans la commercialisation, a été nommé PDG d'Enphorus. Les principaux chercheurs impliqués dans le développement de cette technologie rejoindront également l'entreprise et superviseront son développement et sa commercialisation.
POSCO Holdings et Bluepoint Partners ont réalisé un investissement initial lors de la création de la société et prévoient de continuer à soutenir sa croissance. Les deux entreprises ont planifié conjointement l'ensemble du processus, de la découverte technologique au lancement.
La technologie de pile SOEC à haut rendement d'Enphorus devrait constituer l'un des fondements technologiques essentiels pour atteindre l'objectif de neutralité carbone d'ici 2050 poursuivi par le groupe POSCO.
