군집AI 항공·방산 플랫폼 기업 파블로항공은 기업공개(IPO)를 앞둔 마지막 투자 라운드인 프리 IPO 브릿지(Bridge)를 완료하며 누적 자금 1,075억 원을 달성했다고 28일 밝혔다.
이번 라운드에서 파블로항공은 총 110억 원의 신규 투자를 유치했으며, 누적 자금 조달 규모는 기존 투자금 895억 원과 신용보증기금 ‘혁신아이콘’ 보증 지원 180억 원을 포함해 1,075억 원으로 확대됐다. 이는 국내 드론 기업 중 최상위 수준에 해당하는 성과다.
전략적 투자자 참여를 포함한 이번 투자 유치는 파블로항공의 군집AI 핵심 기술이 기술적 성숙 단계에 도달했음을 보여주며, 시장 수요와 사업 확장 가능성을 동시에 인정받았다는 점에서 의미가 크다.
파블로항공은 이번 투자금을 군집AI 기술 고도화와 상업화 연구개발(R&D) 자금으로 활용하고, 항공·방산 분야 전략적 파트너십을 강화할 계획이다. 이를 바탕으로 상반기 IPO 추진에도 속도를 낸다는 전략이다.
이번 투자에는 대한항공, LIG넥스원-IBK 캐피털 방산혁신펀드, 비하이인베스트먼트가 참여했으며, 비하이인베스트먼트는 프리 B 라운드부터 프리 IPO, 이번 프리 IPO 브릿지까지 연속 투자로 장기적 성장을 지원했다.
파블로항공은 지난해 선보인 ‘군집 자폭드론 전투체계’를 통해 주요 소요군에서 긍정적인 실증 성과를 확보했으며, 방산 정밀가공 전문기업 ‘볼크(Volk)’ 인수를 통해 대량생산 체계를 마련하는 등 방위산업 플랫폼 기업으로의 기반을 선제적으로 구축했다.
김영준 파블로항공 의장 겸 창업자는 “이번 투자 라운드는 방산 분야를 핵심 성장 축으로 설정한 전략이 시장에서 성과로 이어졌다는 점에서 의미가 크다”며, “올해부터 방산 분야 매출 성장이 가시화될 것으로 기대하며, 군집AI 기술을 다양한 산업군에 적용한 프로젝트 성과도 순차적으로 나타날 것”이라고 말했다. 이어 “기업공개를 넘어 글로벌 진출을 위한 교두보를 마련하는 한 해로 만들겠다”고 덧붙였다.

Pablo Aviation plans to use this investment to fund R&D to advance and commercialize its swarm AI technology, as well as to strengthen strategic partnerships in the aviation and defense industries. Building on this momentum, the company plans to accelerate its IPO efforts in the first half of the year.
This investment was participated by Korean Air, LIG Nex1-IBK Capital Defense Innovation Fund, and Bihai Investment. Bihai Investment supported long-term growth through continuous investments from the pre-B round to the pre-IPO and this pre-IPO bridge round.
Pablo Aviation has secured positive demonstration results in major military units through the 'Swarm Suicide Drone Combat System' unveiled last year, and has proactively established the foundation as a defense industry platform company by establishing a mass production system through the acquisition of 'Volk', a defense precision processing specialist.
Kim Young-jun, Chairman and Founder of Pablo Aviation, said, "This investment round is significant because it demonstrates that our strategy of focusing on the defense industry as a core growth axis has yielded market results." He added, "We expect to see tangible sales growth in the defense industry starting this year, and we will also see sequential results from projects applying swarm AI technology to various industries." He added, "We will make this year a year in which we establish a bridgehead for global expansion beyond an IPO."
