AI 반도체 스타트업 하이퍼엑셀(HyperAccel)은 IoT 지능형 시스템 및 임베디드 플랫폼 분야의 글로벌 기업 어드밴텍과 AI 인프라 기술 협력을 위한 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다고 3일 밝혔다.
이번 MOU 체결식은 2월 2일 서울 하이퍼엑셀 본사에서 진행됐다. 양사는 협약을 통해 AI 반도체 분야의 기술 협력 방안을 논의하고, 중장기적인 관점에서 전략적 파트너십을 구축하기 위한 협력 기반을 마련했다.
하이퍼엑셀은 대규모 언어 모델 추론에 특화된 고효율 반도체 LPU를 자체 설계하는 AI 반도체 스타트업으로, AI 추론 성능과 전력 효율을 동시에 높이는 칩 설계 기술을 바탕으로 차세대 AI 반도체 기술을 개발하고 있다.
어드밴텍은 산업용 컴퓨팅과 임베디드 시스템, 로봇, 메디컬 등 다양한 산업 분야에서 활용되는 하드웨어 플랫폼과 글로벌 고객 기반을 보유하고 있다. 최근에는 AI 기술을 핵심 성장 축으로 설정하고, 에지 AI 및 차세대 AI 컴퓨팅 생태계 확장에 주력하고 있다.
양사는 이번 협약을 계기로 AI 인프라 기술 전반에 대한 기술 교류를 진행하고, 각사의 기술 전문성과 노하우를 바탕으로 다양한 협력 가능성을 단계적으로 검토해 나갈 예정이다.
하이퍼엑셀 김주영 대표는 이번 협약이 글로벌 산업용 컴퓨팅 기업과 AI 인프라 기술 협력을 본격적으로 논의하는 계기가 될 것이라며, 자사의 AI 반도체 설계 기술이 글로벌 산업 시장으로 확장될 수 있도록 장기적인 협력 관계를 구축해 나가겠다고 밝혔다.

HyperExcel and Advantech Sign MOU for AI Infrastructure Technology Collaboration
AI semiconductor startup HyperAccel announced on the 3rd that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Advantech, a global company in the IoT intelligent systems and embedded platforms sector, for cooperation in AI infrastructure technology.
The MOU signing ceremony took place on February 2nd at HyperExcel's headquarters in Seoul. Through this agreement, the two companies discussed technological collaboration in the AI semiconductor field and laid the foundation for a mid- to long-term strategic partnership.
HyperExcel is an AI semiconductor startup that designs its own high-efficiency semiconductor LPU specialized for large-scale language model inference. It is developing next-generation AI semiconductor technology based on chip design technology that simultaneously enhances AI inference performance and power efficiency.
Advantech boasts a global customer base and hardware platforms used in diverse industries, including industrial computing, embedded systems, robotics, and medical. Recently, the company has identified AI technology as a key growth driver and is focusing on expanding its edge AI and next-generation AI computing ecosystem.
Through this agreement, the two companies will engage in technological exchanges across AI infrastructure technologies and will gradually explore various possibilities for collaboration based on each company's technological expertise and know-how.
HyperExcel CEO Kim Joo-young said that this agreement will serve as an opportunity to seriously discuss cooperation with global industrial computing companies on AI infrastructure technology, and that the company will build a long-term cooperative relationship so that its AI semiconductor design technology can expand into the global industrial market.
Miller Chang, President of Advantech's Embedded Business Unit, said that based on his experience applying AI computing technology to various industrial environments, he expects new possibilities for collaboration centered on AI semiconductor technology through collaboration with HyperExcel, which has strengths in AI inference efficiency.

La startup HyperAccel spécialisée dans les semi-conducteurs d'IA a annoncé le 3 avoir signé un protocole d'accord (MOU) avec Advantech, une entreprise mondiale du secteur des systèmes intelligents IoT et des plateformes embarquées, pour une coopération dans le domaine des technologies d'infrastructure d'IA.
La cérémonie de signature du protocole d'accord a eu lieu le 2 février au siège social d'HyperExcel à Séoul. Aux termes de cet accord, les deux entreprises ont discuté d'une collaboration technologique dans le domaine des semi-conducteurs pour l'IA et ont jeté les bases d'un partenariat stratégique à moyen et long terme.
HyperExcel est une start-up spécialisée dans les semi-conducteurs pour l'IA.
