항공·우주·방산 전자 전문기업 제노코는 수상함 군위성통신체계 성능개선 사업의 일환으로 고출력증폭장치(TWTA) 공급 계약을 수주했다고 10일 밝혔다. 계약 규모는 61억원이다.
이번 사업은 국방신속획득기술연구원이 추진하는 현존전력극대화사업 중 수상함 군위성통신체계 성능개선 과제의 일부로, 함정에 운용 중인 노후 장비를 최신 장비로 교체하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 제노코는 기존 장비를 신규 TWTA로 대체하는 역할을 맡는다.
사업은 STX엔진이 주관 사업자로 참여하며, 기존 장비의 수명연한 초과에 따라 교체 필요성이 제기되면서 추진됐다. 제노코는 수상함 군위성통신체계의 핵심 장비 공급을 담당하며 안정적인 사업 수행에 나선다.
회사 측은 이번 수주를 통해 기술력과 신뢰성을 입증했으며, 한국항공우주(KAI)와의 협력을 중심으로 우주·위성 분야에서 후속 수주로 이어질 가능성이 크다고 밝혔다. 제노코는 현재 국내 최대 위성 프로젝트와 한국판 스타링크로 불리는 K-LEO(저궤도위성) 사업에서도 KAI와 함께 핵심 역할을 수행할 것으로 기대된다.
제노코 관계자는 “이번 수주는 노후 군위성통신 장비 교체의 출발점이자 당사의 기술력과 사업 수행 역량을 입증한 사례”라며 “한국항공우주와 협력해 우주 및 저궤도 위성 분야에서 성과가 가시화되고 있는 만큼, 우주 시대 개화와 함께 제노코의 새로운 성장 국면이 시작될 것”이라고 말했다.

The company stated that this order demonstrates its technological prowess and reliability, and that its collaboration with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) is highly likely to lead to subsequent orders in the space and satellite sectors. Xenoco is also expected to play a key role alongside KAI in Korea's largest satellite project and the K-LEO (Low Earth Orbit Satellite) project, often referred to as the Korean version of Starlink.
A Xenoco official said, “This order is the starting point for replacing aging military satellite communication equipment and is a case that proves our technological prowess and business execution capabilities,” adding, “As we are collaborating with Korea Aerospace Industries and achieving visible results in the space and low-orbit satellite fields, a new phase of growth for Xenoco will begin along with the dawn of the space age.”
