AI 데이터·신뢰성 평가 전문기업 셀렉트스타는 오는 3월 2일부터 5일까지 스페인 바르셀로나에서 열리는 세계 최대 모바일 전시회 ‘MWC 2026’에서 ‘글로벌 AI 레드팀 챌린지’를 개최한다고 10일 밝혔다.
셀렉트스타는 지난해 MWC 2025에서 세계 최초로 글로벌 단위 AI 레드팀 챌린지를 성공적으로 운영한 데 이어, 올해도 GSMA와 공동으로 행사를 주최한다. 회사는 이번 챌린지를 통해 AI 신뢰성 평가 분야에서의 글로벌 경쟁력을 다시 한번 입증한다는 계획이다.
글로벌 AI 레드팀 챌린지는 3월 4일 현지 시각 기준, MWC 행사장 내 탤런트 아레나에서 진행된다. 국내외 주요 통신 기업들이 자체 개발한 거대언어모델이 챌린지 대상 모델로 참여하며, 사전 모집을 통해 선발된 전 세계 100여 명의 참가자들이 모의 프롬프트 공격을 수행한다.
참가자들은 모델의 응답 과정에서 유해하거나 차별적인 결과, 보안 취약점, 시스템 오용 가능성 등을 탐지하는 레드티밍 미션을 수행하며 경쟁한다. 이를 통해 실제 서비스 환경에서 발생할 수 있는 AI 위험 요소를 사전에 점검하고 개선 방향을 도출하는 데 목적이 있다.
AI가 다양한 산업에서 핵심 의사결정 도구로 활용되면서, 레드팀은 잠재적 위험을 사전에 식별하는 필수 절차로 주목받고 있다. 이번 챌린지는 AI 신뢰성과 안전성에 대한 글로벌 공감대가 확산되는 가운데, 현장에서 직접 AI의 한계와 개선 가능성을 확인할 수 있는 대표적인 참여형 프로그램으로 평가된다.
셀렉트스타는 이번 행사를 통해 축적해 온 레드팀 운영 경험과 기술력을 글로벌 무대에서 공유하고, 단발성 이벤트를 넘어 실제 AI 서비스 검증에 활용 가능한 평가 방식과 인사이트를 제시할 방침이다. 이를 기반으로 글로벌 AI 기업 및 통신사와의 협력도 확대할 계획이다.

SelectStar to Host Global AI Red Team Challenge at MWC 2026 for Second Consecutive Year
SelectStar, an AI data and reliability evaluation specialist, announced on the 10th that it will hold the 'Global AI Red Team Challenge' at 'MWC 2026', the world's largest mobile exhibition, to be held in Barcelona, Spain from March 2nd to 5th.
Following the successful hosting of the world's first global AI Red Team Challenge at MWC 2025 last year, SelectStar is co-hosting this year's event with the GSMA. Through this challenge, the company plans to once again demonstrate its global competitiveness in AI reliability assessment.
The Global AI Red Team Challenge will be held at the Talent Arena within the MWC venue on March 4th (local time). Major domestic and international telecommunications companies will participate in the challenge with large-scale language models developed in-house. Approximately 100 participants from around the world, selected through a pre-registration process, will conduct simulated prompt attacks.
Participants compete in red teaming missions, detecting harmful or discriminatory results, security vulnerabilities, and potential system misuse in the model's response process. The goal is to proactively identify AI risks that may arise in real-world service environments and identify areas for improvement.
As AI becomes a key decision-making tool across various industries, red teaming is gaining traction as an essential process for proactively identifying potential risks. This challenge is considered a representative participatory program that allows organizations to directly examine the limitations and potential for improvement of AI in the field, amidst a growing global consensus on AI reliability and safety.
Through this event, SelectStar plans to share its accumulated red team operational experience and technological prowess on a global stage. Beyond one-off events, it will present evaluation methods and insights that can be applied to actual AI service verification. Building on this foundation, SelectStar also plans to expand collaborations with global AI companies and telecommunications companies.

SelectStar, spécialiste de l'évaluation des données et de la fiabilité de l'IA, a annoncé le 10 qu'il organisera le « Global AI Red Team Challenge » au « MWC 2026 », le plus grand salon mondial de la téléphonie mobile, qui se tiendra à Barcelone, en Espagne, du 2 au 5 mars.
Suite au succès de l'organisation du premier concours mondial d'évaluation de la fiabilité de l'IA (Red Team Challenge) au MWC 2025 l'an dernier, SelectStar co-organise l'événement cette année avec la GSMA. À travers ce concours, l'entreprise entend démontrer une nouvelle fois sa compétitivité mondiale dans le domaine de l'évaluation de la fiabilité de l'IA.
Le Global AI Red Team Challenge se tiendra à la Talent Arena du MWC le 4 mars (heure locale). De grandes entreprises de télécommunications nationales et internationales participeront à ce défi avec des modèles de langage à grande échelle développés en interne. Une centaine de participants du monde entier, sélectionnés après une préinscription, mèneront des simulations d'attaques par prompteur.
Les participants s'affrontent lors de missions d'intrusion (red teaming) visant à détecter les résultats préjudiciables ou discriminatoires, les failles de sécurité et les risques d'utilisation abusive du système dans le processus de réponse du modèle. L'objectif est d'identifier de manière proactive les risques liés à l'IA susceptibles de survenir dans des environnements de service réels et de repérer les axes d'amélioration.
L'IA devenant un outil décisionnel clé dans de nombreux secteurs, les exercices d'évaluation des risques (red teaming) s'imposent comme un processus essentiel pour identifier proactivement les risques potentiels. Ce défi est considéré comme un programme participatif représentatif permettant aux organisations d'examiner directement les limites et le potentiel d'amélioration de l'IA sur le terrain, dans un contexte de consensus mondial croissant sur sa fiabilité et sa sécurité.
À travers cet événement, SelectStar entend partager son expérience opérationnelle et son expertise technologique en matière d'équipes rouges à l'échelle mondiale. Au-delà d'événements ponctuels, l'entreprise présentera des méthodes d'évaluation et des analyses applicables à la vérification concrète de services d'IA.
