다보링크는 24일 이사회를 통해 로드러너의 경영권 확보를 목표로 총 25억원 규모의 투자 계약을 체결했다고 25일 공시했다. 다보링크는 로드러너가 발행한 20억원 규모의 신주인수권부사채와 5억원 규모의 보통주를 인수했다.
이번 투자는 로드러너가 보유한 스마트팩토리 솔루션과 자율주행 로봇 기술을 다보링크의 통신·네트워크 인프라 및 Private 5G 솔루션과 결합하기 위한 전략적 결정으로 풀이된다. 이를 통해 급성장하는 지능형 제조 및 물류 자동화 시장에서 중장기 성장 동력을 확보한다는 계획이다. 향후 로드러너의 실질적인 경영권 인수도 추진할 예정으로, 기술·영업·글로벌 시장 진출 측면에서 사업 시너지 창출이 기대된다.
로드러너는 삼성SDS 스마트팩토리 사업단장 출신 대표를 비롯해 삼성전자 등에서 대규모 제조 IT 프로젝트를 수행한 전문가들로 구성된 기업이다. IT 컨설팅부터 MES 구축, 자율주행 로봇 설계·제작까지 아우르는 풀스택 턴키 서비스 역량을 보유하고 있다.
현재 로드러너는 삼성, 한화, 효성, 현대자동차 등 국내 주요 제조 대기업을 고객 레퍼런스로 확보하고 스마트팩토리 시스템 구축 및 자동화 컨설팅 사업을 전개하고 있다. ROS 2.0 기반 로봇 제어 솔루션과 AI 객체 인식 기술을 적용한 AMR을 산업 현장에 공급하며 기술력을 검증받고 있다.
다보링크의 Private 5G 전용망이 결합될 경우 공장과 물류센터 내 대규모 로봇 군집 제어, 초저지연 실시간 관제, 고신뢰 무선 통신 기반의 스마트팩토리 구현이 가능할 것으로 전망된다.
로드러너는 이번 투자를 계기로 자율주행 로봇 제품 라인업을 확대하고, Private 5G 기반 스마트팩토리 패키지 모델을 앞세워 미국 등 글로벌 시장 진출을 본격화할 방침이다.

Currently, RoadRunner has secured client references from major domestic manufacturing companies, including Samsung, Hanwha, Hyosung, and Hyundai Motors, and is engaged in smart factory system construction and automation consulting. Its technological prowess is being proven by supplying industrial robot control solutions based on ROS 2.0 and AMRs utilizing AI object recognition technology.
When combined with Dabolink's private 5G dedicated network, it is expected that large-scale robot swarm control, ultra-low latency real-time control, and smart factories based on highly reliable wireless communication will be possible within factories and logistics centers.
With this investment, Roadrunner plans to expand its autonomous robot product lineup and advance into global markets, including the U.S., with its private 5G-based smart factory package model.
Dabolink CEO Lim Sang-hyun stated that this investment is a strategic decision to combine network infrastructure and private 5G technology with intelligent smart factories and autonomous robot solutions, and that he would foster Roadrunner as a core subsidiary by acquiring additional shares.
