국내 민간 체계종합 항공기 전문기업 넥스트에어로스페이스는 지난달 27일 열린 2026 드론쇼코리아를 계기로 위성통신 전문기업 KT SAT과 위성통신 기반 무인항공기 운용체계 구축을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 3일 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 넥스트에어로스페이스의 항공기 체계종합 기술과 KT SAT의 글로벌 위성통신 인프라를 결합해 차세대 무인항공기 운용 솔루션을 확보하기 위해 추진됐다. 협약에 따라 KT SAT은 위성통신 인프라 제공, 무인항공기 통신 연동 체계 설계 및 검증 지원, 공동 사업 기회 발굴 및 대외 영업을 맡는다. 넥스트에어로스페이스는 무인항공기 기체 설계·제작 및 체계 통합, 비행시험 및 성능 검증, 국내외 인증 획득 등을 수행할 계획이다.
이번 협약은 전시 기간 중 넥스트에어로스페이스 부스를 방문한 글로벌 방산 기업 및 군 관계자들의 관심 속에 체결됐다. 현장에서는 수직이착륙 안전성 인증을 획득한 NV-050 등 무인기 라인업이 공개됐다.
넥스트에어로스페이스는 이번 협약을 계기로 차세대 무인기 개발과 기술 고도화를 추진하고 글로벌 시장 확대에 나설 방침이다. KT SAT은 무궁화위성을 활용해 기존 LTE 및 지상 RF 기반 통신 환경의 음영 문제를 보완하고, 고해상도 영상과 기체 상태 정보를 실시간 송수신할 수 있는 환경을 구축할 계획이라고 설명했다. 이를 통해 정찰, 감시, 재난 대응 등 다양한 분야에서 활용성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 전망했다.
한편 넥스트에어로스페이스는 국산 기술 기반의 유·무인기 설계 및 제작 역량을 바탕으로 공공 및 방산 시장에서 사업을 확대하고 있으며, 연구개발을 지속 추진하고 있다.

Next Aerospace and KT SAT Sign MOU to Establish Satellite-Based Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operation System
Next Aerospace, a domestic private system integration aircraft specialist company, announced on the 3rd that it signed a business agreement with satellite communication specialist KT SAT to establish a satellite communication-based unmanned aerial vehicle operation system on the occasion of the 2026 Drone Show Korea held on the 27th of last month.
This agreement aims to secure a next-generation unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operation solution by combining Next Aerospace's aircraft system integration technology with KT SAT's global satellite communications infrastructure. Under the agreement, KT SAT will provide satellite communications infrastructure, support the design and verification of UAV communication linkage systems, identify joint business opportunities, and spearhead external sales efforts. Next Aerospace will be responsible for designing and manufacturing the UAV airframe, integrating systems, flight testing and performance verification, and obtaining domestic and international certifications.
This agreement was signed amidst the interest of global defense companies and military officials who visited the Next Aerospace booth during the exhibition. At the event, the company unveiled its lineup of unmanned aerial vehicles, including the NV-050, which has received vertical takeoff and landing safety certification.
With this agreement, Next Aerospace plans to pursue the development of next-generation UAVs, advance their technology, and expand into the global market. KT SAT explained that it plans to utilize the Mugunghwa satellite to address shadowing issues in existing LTE and terrestrial RF-based communication environments and establish an environment capable of transmitting and receiving high-resolution images and aircraft status information in real time. This is expected to enhance the utility of the system in various fields, including reconnaissance, surveillance, and disaster response.
Meanwhile, Next Aerospace is expanding its business in the public and defense markets and continuously pursuing research and development based on its domestically produced manned and unmanned aircraft design and manufacturing capabilities.

ネクストエアロスペースは今回の条約をきっかけに次世代無人機開発と技術高度化を推進し、グローバル市場拡大に乗り出す方針だ。 KT SATは、ムグンファ衛星を活用して既存のLTEおよび地上RFベースの通信環境の陰影問題を補完し、高解像度映像と機体状態情報をリアルタイムで送受信できる環境を構築する計画だと説明した。これにより、偵察、監視、災害対応など多様な分野で活用性を高めることができると見込んだ。
一方、ネクストエアロスペースは、国産技術基盤の有無人機設計及び製作能力をもとに公共及び放散市場で事業を拡大しており、研究開発を継続推進している。

Next Aerospace, une société coréenne privée spécialisée dans l'intégration de systèmes aéronautiques, a annoncé le 3 avoir signé un accord commercial avec KT SAT, spécialiste des communications par satellite, pour établir un système d'exploitation de drones basé sur la communication par satellite, à l'occasion du Drone Show Korea 2026 qui s'est tenu le 27 du mois dernier.
Cet accord vise à garantir une solution d'exploitation de drones de nouvelle génération en combinant la technologie d'intégration de systèmes aéronautiques de Next Aerospace avec l'infrastructure mondiale de communications par satellite de KT SAT. Aux termes de cet accord, KT SAT fournira l'infrastructure de communications par satellite, assurera la conception et la vérification des systèmes de liaison de communication des drones, identifiera les opportunités commerciales communes et pilotera les efforts de vente externes. Next Aerospace sera responsable de la conception et de la fabrication de la cellule du drone, de l'intégration des systèmes, des essais en vol et de la vérification des performances, ainsi que de l'obtention des certifications nationales et internationales.
Cet accord a été signé en présence d'entreprises de défense internationales et de responsables militaires venus visiter le stand de Next Aerospace lors du salon. À cette occasion, la société a dévoilé sa gamme de drones, dont le NV-050, certifié pour le décollage et l'atterrissage vertical.
Grâce à cet accord, Next Aerospace prévoit de poursuivre le développement de drones de nouvelle génération, de perfectionner leur technologie et de s'étendre au marché mondial. KT SAT a expliqué qu'elle entend utiliser le satellite Mugunghwa pour résoudre les problèmes d'ombrage rencontrés dans les environnements de communication LTE et radiofréquences terrestres existants et établir un système capable de transmettre et de recevoir en temps réel des images haute résolution et des informations sur l'état des aéronefs. Ceci devrait améliorer l'utilité du système dans divers domaines, notamment la reconnaissance, la surveillance et l'intervention en cas de catastrophe.
Parallèlement, Next Aerospace développe ses activités sur les marchés publics et de la défense et poursuit continuellement ses activités de recherche et développement en s'appuyant sur ses capacités de conception et de fabrication d'aéronefs habités et non habités de production nationale.
