AI 기반 제조 지능화 솔루션 기업 피아이이(PIE)의 최정일 대표가 ‘제60회 납세자의 날’을 맞아 모범납세자로 선정되어 대통령 표창을 받았다.
지난 4일 경기도 수원시 중부지방국세청에서 열린 기념식에서는 최정일 대표를 포함한 모범납세자 13명과 세정협조자 2명이 표창을 받았다. 최 대표는 어려운 경제 상황에서도 납세 의무를 성실히 수행하며 국가 재정 확충에 기여한 공로를 인정받았다. 이번 수상으로 피아이이는 세무조사 유예, 납세담보 제공 면제, 금융 우대 등 다양한 혜택을 받을 수 있다.
이승수 중부지방국세청장은 행사에서 “성실한 납세자가 존경받고 우대를 받을 수 있는 성숙한 납세문화 확산에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다. 최정일 대표는 “성실 납세는 기업의 기본 책무이자 사회적 책임”이라며, “앞으로도 투명한 경영과 기술 혁신을 통해 산업 발전과 기업 시민으로서의 의무를 지속적으로 이행하겠다”고 밝혔다.

PIE CEO Jeong-il Choi, an AI-based manufacturing intelligence solution company, was selected as an exemplary taxpayer and received a presidential citation on the 60th Taxpayer's Day.
At a ceremony held at the Central Regional Tax Office in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province on the 4th, 13 exemplary taxpayers, including CEO Choi Jeong-il, and two tax evasion volunteers received awards. CEO Choi was recognized for his diligent tax compliance and contributions to strengthening national finances despite challenging economic conditions. With this award, PII will be eligible for various benefits, including deferral of tax audits, exemption from providing tax collateral, and preferential financial treatment.
At the event, Lee Seung-soo, Commissioner of the Central Regional Tax Office, said, "We will strive to foster a mature tax culture where honest taxpayers are respected and treated favorably." CEO Choi Jeong-il stated, "Honest tax payment is a fundamental corporate responsibility and social responsibility," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our obligations as a corporate citizen and promote industrial development through transparent management and technological innovation."
