오토노머스에이투지(대표 한지형, 이하 에이투지)가 405억 원 규모의 프리IPO 투자를 성공적으로 완료했다고 12일 밝혔다.
이번 투자 라운드에는 기존 투자사인 DS투자파트너스를 포함해 엔베스터, KB인베스트먼트, KB증권, 하나증권이 참여했으며, 신규 투자사로 대성창업투자, 수인베스트먼트캐피탈, 이앤벤처파트너스가 합류했다. 이를 통해 에이투지의 누적 투자유치액은 1,225억 원으로 국내 자율주행 기업 중 가장 높은 규모를 기록했다.
프리IPO 투자는 연내 계획된 IPO를 준비하며, 급변하는 피지컬 AI 기반 자율주행 시장에 선제 대응하고 상용화 기반을 확대하기 위해 진행됐다. 투자금은 국내외 사업 확장에 필요한 재고 확보, E2E(End-to-End) 기반 자율주행 기술 개발을 위한 인프라 투자와 인력 확충 등 전반적인 사업에 활용될 예정이다.
에이투지는 현재 국토교통부 주관 대규모 자율주행 실증 사업 참여를 준비 중이며, 투자금을 활용해 차량 제작에 필요한 센서, 제어기, 부품 확보 등 실증 기반 기술 준비를 강화할 계획이다.
해외 사업에도 투자가 진행된다. 싱가포르에서는 슈퍼앱 ‘그랩’과 협력해 도심 자율주행 셔틀버스를 운행하며, 현지 교통 시스템에 자체 개발한 라이다 인프라(LIS)를 적용하고 있다. UAE에서는 한국 정부의 수출 승인을 기반으로 사업 수주를 추진하고 있으며, 일본에서는 로보택시 실증 운행을 진행 중이다. 에이투지는 각국의 법·제도 환경에 맞춰 기술을 단계적으로 도입하며 상용화를 확대할 계획이다.
기술 개발 측면에서는 기존 룰베이스 자율주행에 AI를 접목한 하이브리드 E2E 자율주행 기술 개발을 진행 중이다. 이를 위해 실제 주행 데이터 학습과 소프트웨어 고도화, 레벨4 완전 무인 자율주행 상용화를 위한 안전성과 안정성 강화 작업을 병행하고 있다.
한지형 대표는 “프리IPO 투자는 국내외 주요 프로젝트의 실행력을 강화하기 위한 전략적 결정”이라며, “IPO를 통해 레벨4 자율주행 차량 양산과 글로벌 데이터 생태계 구축을 진행, 한국형 자율주행 기술을 전 세계에 확산시킬 것”이라고 말했다.
이번 투자를 리드한 김희중 DS투자파트너스 차장은 “에이투지는 자동차 기술과 AI 기술을 모두 보유한 소수의 자율주행 기업으로, 글로벌 SI 및 정부로부터 기술력과 사업성을 검증받았다”며, “이번 투자로 글로벌 자율주행 시장에서 톱티어 기업으로 성장할 기반을 마련했다”고 평가했다.
국내외 자율주행 시장에서는 기술력과 실증 경험을 갖춘 기업 중심으로 투자가 확대되면서, 상용화 및 해외 진출 경쟁이 한층 치열해지고 있다.

Autonomous A2Z Completes KRW 40.5 Billion Pre-IPO Investment
Autonomous A2Z (CEO Jihyung Han, hereinafter A2Z) announced on the 12th that it has successfully completed a pre-IPO investment of 40.5 billion won.
This round of funding included existing investors DS Investment Partners, Envester, KB Investment, KB Securities, and Hana Securities, with new investors Daesung Venture Investment, Suin Investment Capital, and E&Venture Partners joining. This brings A2G's cumulative investment to 122.5 billion won, the largest among domestic autonomous driving companies.
The pre-IPO investment was made in preparation for an IPO planned for later this year, to proactively respond to the rapidly changing physical AI-based autonomous driving market, and to expand the foundation for commercialization. The investment will be used for overall business operations, including securing inventory necessary for domestic and international expansion, investing in infrastructure for end-to-end autonomous driving technology development, and expanding human resources.
A2Z is currently preparing to participate in a large-scale autonomous driving demonstration project led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and plans to use the investment funds to strengthen preparations for demonstration-based technologies, such as securing sensors, controllers, and parts necessary for vehicle manufacturing.
Investments are also underway overseas. In Singapore, the company is operating autonomous shuttle buses in the city center in partnership with the super app Grab, and is applying its proprietary LiDAR infrastructure (LIS) to the local transportation system. In the UAE, the company is pursuing business contracts based on export approval from the Korean government, and in Japan, it is conducting robotaxi demonstrations. A2Z plans to gradually introduce its technology in accordance with the legal and institutional environments of each country and expand commercialization.
In terms of technology development, we are currently developing hybrid E2E autonomous driving technology that integrates AI with existing rule-based autonomous driving. To achieve this, we are conducting parallel work on learning real-world driving data, improving software, and enhancing safety and stability for the commercialization of Level 4 fully unmanned autonomous driving.
CEO Han Ji-hyung said, “The pre-IPO investment is a strategic decision to strengthen the execution of major domestic and international projects,” and added, “Through the IPO, we will proceed with mass production of Level 4 autonomous vehicles and build a global data ecosystem, thereby spreading Korean autonomous driving technology around the world.”
Kim Hee-joong, deputy director of DS Investment Partners, who led this investment, said, “A2Z is one of the few autonomous driving companies that possess both automotive and AI technology, and its technological prowess and business viability have been verified by global SIs and governments.” He added, “This investment has laid the foundation for growth into a top-tier company in the global autonomous driving market.”
In the domestic and international autonomous driving markets, investment is expanding, focusing on companies with technological prowess and proven experience, and competition for commercialization and overseas expansion is intensifying.

フリーIPO投資は年内計画されたIPOを準備し、急変するフィジカルAIベースの自律走行市場に先制対応し、商用化基盤を拡大するために進められた。投資金は、国内外の事業拡大に必要な在庫確保、E2E(End-to-End)ベースの自律走行技術開発のためのインフラ投資と人材拡充など、全般的な事業に活用される予定だ。
エイツジは現在、国土交通部主管大規模自律走行実証事業参加を準備中であり、投資金を活用して車両製作に必要なセンサ、コントローラ、部品確保など実証基盤技術の準備を強化する計画だ。
海外事業にも投資が進む。シンガポールではスーパーアプリ「グラップ」と協力して都心自律走行シャトルバスを運行し、現地交通システムに独自開発したライダーインフラ（LIS）を適用している。 ＵＡＥでは韓国政府の輸出承認に基づいて事業受注を推進しており、日本ではロボタクシー実証運行を進めている。エイツジは各国の法・制度環境に合わせて技術を段階的に導入し、商用化を拡大する計画だ。
技術開発面では、既存のルールベース自律走行にAIを組み込んだハイブリッドE2E自律走行技術開発を進めている。このため、実際の走行データ学習とソフトウェア高度化、レベル4完全無人自律走行商用化のための安全性と安定性強化作業を並行している。
ハン・ジヒョン代表は「フリーIPO投資は国内外の主要プロジェクトの実行力を強化するための戦略的決定」とし、「IPOを通じてレベル4自律走行車両の量産とグローバルデータエコシステム構築を進め、韓国型自律走行技術を全世界に拡散させるだろう」と述べた。
今回の投資をリードしたキム・ヒジュンDS投資パートナーズ次長は「エイトゥジは自動車技術とAI技術を共に保有した少数の自律走行企業で、グローバルSIおよび政府から技術力と事業性を検証された」とし、「今回の投資でグローバル自律走行市場でトップティア企業に成長する基盤を設けた」と評価した。
国内外の自律走行市場では技術力と実証経験を備えた企業中心に投資が拡大し、商用化及び海外進出競争が一層激しくなっている。

La société Autonomous A2Z (PDG Jihyung Han, ci-après A2Z) a annoncé le 12 avoir mené à bien un investissement pré-IPO de 40,5 milliards de wons.
Ce tour de table a réuni les investisseurs historiques DS Investment Partners, Envester, KB Investment, KB Securities et Hana Securities, ainsi que de nouveaux investisseurs tels que Daesung Venture Investment, Suin Investment Capital et E&Venture Partners. Grâce à cette levée de fonds, A2G a levé un total de 122,5 milliards de wons, ce qui en fait le fonds le plus important parmi les entreprises chinoises spécialisées dans la conduite autonome.
Cet investissement pré-IPO a été réalisé en prévision d'une introduction en bourse prévue plus tard cette année, afin de répondre de manière proactive à l'évolution rapide du marché de la conduite autonome basée sur l'IA et de consolider les bases de sa commercialisation. Les fonds seront utilisés pour les opérations commerciales générales, notamment la constitution des stocks nécessaires à l'expansion nationale et internationale, l'investissement dans l'infrastructure pour le développement de la technologie de conduite autonome de bout en bout et le renforcement des ressources humaines.
A2Z se prépare actuellement à participer à un projet de démonstration de conduite autonome à grande échelle mené par le ministère du Territoire, des Infrastructures et des Transports, et prévoit d'utiliser les fonds d'investissement pour renforcer les préparatifs relatifs aux technologies de démonstration, comme l'acquisition de capteurs, de contrôleurs et de pièces nécessaires à la fabrication des véhicules.
Des investissements sont également en cours à l'étranger. À Singapour, l'entreprise exploite des navettes autonomes dans le centre-ville en partenariat avec l'application Grab et intègre son infrastructure LiDAR (LIS) propriétaire au système de transport local. Pour ce faire, nous menons en parallèle des travaux sur l'apprentissage à partir de données de conduite réelles, l'amélioration du logiciel et le renforcement de la sécurité et de la stabilité en vue de la commercialisation de la conduite autonome de niveau 4 entièrement sans conducteur.
