AI 기반 교육 솔루션 기업 프리윌린(대표 권기성)이 교육 소외계층 학습자 지원을 위해 서울샛별학교와 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 12일 밝혔다. 이번 협약을 통해 프리윌린은 1년간 AI 코스웨어 ‘스쿨플랫(Schoolflat)’을 무상으로 제공한다. 지난 3월 9일 협약식에는 서울샛별학교 공동대표 조수현·윤훈탁과 프리윌린 관계자가 참석했다.
협약은 교육 접근성이 제한된 학습자에게 지속 가능한 배움의 기회를 제공하고, 지역사회 기반 평생교육 생태계를 확대하기 위해 추진됐다. 특히 3월 14일 ‘세계 수학의 날(International Day of Mathematics)’을 앞두고, 수학 학습과 디지털 문해교육을 결합하여 학습 격차 해소와 디지털 기기 활용 능력 향상을 목표로 한다.
서울샛별학교는 2021년 청년 주도로 설립된 민간 비영리 평생교육기관으로, 세대와 계층을 넘어 학습이 이어지는 선순환 교육 구조를 지향한다. 현재 2030 대학생과 사회 초년생으로 구성된 37명의 자원봉사 강사진이 학교 밖 청소년부터 60대 이상 시니어까지 약 120명의 학습자를 대상으로 교육을 진행하고 있다.
학교는 검정고시 교육을 중심으로 운영하면서도 디지털·금융 문해력 교육을 강화하여 현대 사회 필수 역량으로 육성하고 있다. 조수현 공동대표는 “프리윌린의 AI 학습 데이터를 활용해 학습자 수준을 정확히 진단하고 개인화된 학습 경로를 제공할 수 있게 됐다”고 평가했으며, 윤훈탁 공동대표는 “스쿨플랫 지원은 학습자들이 정보 접근성 격차를 극복하고 자기주도 학습을 경험하는 기반이 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.
권기성 프리윌린 대표는 “서울샛별학교의 교육 철학에 공감해 협력을 진행했다”며, “앞으로도 기술을 활용해 교육 기회 격차를 줄이고 누구나 지속적으로 학습할 수 있는 환경을 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
스쿨플랫은 전국 17개 시도 교육청 산하 2,500여 개 초중고교에서 활용 중인 수학 AI 코스웨어로, 데이터 기반 학습 진단과 맞춤형 문제 제공 기능을 통해 공교육 디지털 전환을 지원하고 있다.
최근 AI 기반 학습 솔루션은 교육 소외계층 지원과 공교육 현장의 맞춤형 학습 운영을 동시에 가능하게 하는 도구로 각광받고 있다.
Freewillin and Seoul Saetbyeol School Sign MOU to Support AI-Based Education
Freewillin (CEO Kwon Ki-seong), an AI-based education solutions company, announced on the 12th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Seoul Saetbyeol School to support underprivileged learners. Through this agreement, Freewillin will provide its AI courseware, "Schoolflat," free of charge for one year. The signing ceremony on March 9th was attended by Seoul Saetbyeol School co-CEOs Cho Soo-hyun and Yoon Hoon-tak, along with Freewillin representatives.
The agreement aims to provide sustainable learning opportunities for learners with limited access to education and expand the community-based lifelong learning ecosystem. In particular, ahead of International Mathematics Day on March 14th, the agreement aims to bridge the learning gap and enhance digital device utilization skills by combining mathematics learning with digital literacy education.
Seoul Saetbyeol School, a private, non-profit lifelong learning institution founded in 2021 by youth, aims to foster a virtuous learning cycle across generations and social classes. Currently, 37 volunteer instructors, comprised of college students and young adults in their 20s and 30s, provide education to approximately 120 learners, ranging from out-of-school youth to seniors in their 60s and older.
While the school focuses on equivalency exam preparation, it also strengthens digital and financial literacy education, fostering it as an essential competency for modern society. Co-CEO Cho Soo-hyun commented, "By leveraging Freewillin's AI learning data, we can accurately diagnose learners' levels and provide personalized learning paths." Co-CEO Yoon Hoon-tak stated, "Schoolplat support will serve as a foundation for learners to overcome information accessibility gaps and experience self-directed learning."

Schoolplat is a math AI courseware currently being used in approximately 2,500 elementary, middle, and high schools under 17 provincial and metropolitan offices of education nationwide. It supports the digital transformation of public education through data-based learning diagnosis and customized problem provision functions.

Actuellement, 37 instructeurs bénévoles, étudiants et jeunes adultes d'une vingtaine ou d'une trentaine d'années, dispensent un enseignement à environ 120 apprenants, allant des jeunes déscolarisés aux personnes âgées de plus de 60 ans.
Tout en se concentrant sur la préparation aux examens d'équivalence, l'école renforce également l'éducation aux compétences numériques et financières, la promouvant comme une compétence essentielle dans la société moderne. Cho Soo-hyun, co-directeur général, a déclaré : « Grâce aux données d'apprentissage de l'IA de Freewillin, nous pouvons diagnostiquer avec précision le niveau des apprenants et leur proposer des parcours d'apprentissage personnalisés. » Yoon Hoon-tak, également co-directeur général, a ajouté : « Le soutien de Schoolplat permettra aux apprenants de surmonter les difficultés d'accès à l'information et de développer leur autonomie d'apprentissage. »
