벤처기업협회는 1월 3일 수원시청에서 수원특례시와 ‘K-실리콘밸리 프로젝트’의 성공적인 추진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이 협약은 첨단산업 중심의 혁신 생태계 조성을 목표로 하며, 양 기관은 반도체, 바이오, 인공지능(AI) 등 첨단 산업 분야에서 벤처와 스타트업의 유치 및 육성을 위해 협력할 예정이다.
‘K-실리콘밸리 프로젝트’는 수원시 권선구 일대 약 300만㎡ 규모의 수원 경제자유구역을 중심으로 광교테크노밸리, 델타플렉스 등 기존 산업 거점과 연계하여 첨단과학 혁신 클러스터를 조성하는 프로젝트다. 이 프로젝트는 약 8만 4천 명의 고용 창출과 12조 7천억 원의 생산 유발 효과를 기대하고 있다.
성상엽 벤처기업협회 회장은 “수원 경제자유구역은 반도체, 바이오, AI와 같은 첨단산업의 글로벌 허브로 성장할 잠재력을 가진 지역”이라며, “벤처기업 유치와 혁신 생태계 조성을 통해 수원시가 대한민국 벤처 생태계의 중심지로 자리매김할 수 있도록 적극 협력하겠다”고 말했다.
이재준 수원특례시장은 “수원 경제자유구역은 첨단기술 산업을 기반으로 한 미래형 혁신 클러스터로, 대한민국 경제의 새로운 중심축이 될 것”이라며, “수원시는 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 산업 환경을 조성하기 위해 모든 행정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

The project is expected to create approximately 84,000 jobs and generate KRW 12.7 trillion in production.
Seong Sang-yeop, chairman of the Korea Venture Business Association, said, “The Suwon Free Economic Zone has the potential to grow into a global hub for cutting-edge industries such as semiconductors, bio, and AI.” He added, “We will actively cooperate to help Suwon establish itself as the center of the Korean venture ecosystem by attracting venture companies and fostering an innovative ecosystem.”
Suwon Special City Mayor Lee Jae-joon said, “The Suwon Free Economic Zone is a future-oriented innovation cluster based on cutting-edge technology industries, and will become a new central axis of the Korean economy,” and added, “Suwon City will spare no administrative support to create an industrial environment with global competitiveness.”

L’Association coréenne des entreprises de capital-risque a annoncé le 3 janvier avoir signé un accord commercial avec la ville spéciale de Suwon à l’hôtel de ville de Suwon afin de promouvoir avec succès le « Projet K-Silicon Valley ». Cet accord vise à favoriser un écosystème innovant axé sur les industries de pointe, et les deux organisations collaboreront pour attirer et soutenir les entreprises et les start-ups dans des secteurs de pointe tels que les semi-conducteurs, la biotechnologie et l’intelligence artificielle (IA).
Le projet « K-Silicon Valley » vise à créer un pôle d'innovation scientifique de pointe au cœur de la zone économique franche de Suwon, s'étendant sur environ 3 millions de mètres carrés dans le district de Gwonseon-gu, à Suwon, en lien avec les zones industrielles existantes telles que Gwanggyo Techno Valley et Deltaplex. Ce projet devrait créer environ 84 000 emplois et générer une production de 12 700 milliards de wons coréens.
