부산시(시장 박형준)와 (재)부산창조경제혁신센터(센터장 김용우, 이하 부산창경)는 국내·외 신생기업(스타트업) 육성을 위해 부산항 북항 제1부두에 조성 중인 ‘글로벌 창업허브 부산’의 국제건축설계공모(이하 공모)를 13일부터 시작한다고 밝혔다.
‘글로벌 창업허브 부산’은 지난해(2024년) 7월 중소벤처기업부 공모사업으로 선정됐으며, 이번 공모는 시와 부산창경이 주최하고, 사단법인 부산국제건축제 조직위원회가 공모 운영 관리를 맡아 진행한다.
‘글로벌 창업허브 부산’이 부산항 개항(1876년) 150주년이 되는 해에 시민의 품으로 돌아오는 것을 기념하기 위해 내년(2026년) 개관을 목표로, 이번 공모를 통해 부산항 제1부두의 피란수도 부산 유산의 역사적 의미를 되살리고 기존 건축물을 새롭게 리모델링하는 창의적이고 혁신적인 설계안이 발굴되기를 기대하고 있다.
부산항 북항 제1부두는 시 소유로 부산시 문화유산으로 등록되어 있으며, 피란수도 부산 유산의 세계유산 등재 추진을 위한 핵심 유산 중 하나로 세계유산 잠정목록으로 등재되어 있다.
총 사업비 308억 원(설계비 12억원), 연면적 9,128㎡ 규모로 계획 중인 ‘글로벌 창업허브 부산’은 업무공간, 역사문화공간, 소통공간, 지원공간 및 편의시설 등을 갖출 예정이다.
이번 공모는 총 2단계로 진행된다. 1단계 지명신청 공모를 통해 지명 건축가를 선정하고, 2단계 지명 건축가만 참여하는 제안 공모를 통해 최종 당선자를 결정한다.
1단계 공모는 13일부터 24일까지 진행되며, 참여를 희망하는 건축가는 신청서를 작성해 공식 전자우편(compebaf@gmail.com)으로 제출하면 된다. 선정 결과는 2월 5일 공모전 공식 누리집을 통해 발표된다.
2단계 공모는 2월 5일부터 3월 21일까지 진행되며, 심사위원회의 평가를 통해 3월 말 최종 당선자가 발표된다. 2단계 공모에 대한 상세내용은 2월 5일에 공지될 예정이다.
최종 당선자에게는 설계 계약 우선 협상권이 주어지며, 그 외 지명자는 각 2천5백만 원의 보상비가 지급된다.

The 'Global Startup Hub Busan', planned to cost 30.8 billion won (design cost 1.2 billion won) and have a total floor area of 9,128 m2, will be equipped with office space, historical and cultural space, communication space, support space, and convenience facilities.
This competition will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, a nominated architect will be selected through a nomination application contest, and in the second stage, the final winner will be determined through a proposal contest in which only nominated architects will participate.
