의료기기 전문기업 메디아나는 중동 지역 고객 확대를 위해 오는 27일부터 4일간 열리는 두바이 세계무역센터에서 열리는 중동 최대 의료기기 전시회 ‘아랍헬스 2025(Arab Health 2025)’에 참가한다고 22일 밝혔다.
중동 지역은 고령화로 인해 노인 인구 및 만성질환자가 증가 중이며, 의료기기에 대한 수입 의존도가 높다. 사망 원인 1위인 심혈관계 질환으로 인해 제세동기 등 응급의료 시장도 빠르게 성장하고 있다.
이미 중동 1위 소방 산업체인 나프코(NAFFCO)에 앰뷸런스용 의료기기 공급을 통해 중동 지역의 고객 확대 가능성을 확인한 바 있다.
메디아나는 이번 전시회에서 “최고의 응급의료솔루션(Leading Emergency Solutions)”을 주제로, 자동 심장충격기(AED), 고급형 심장충격기(Monitor/Defibrillator, MDD) 등을 전시할 예정이다.
자동 심장충격기는 영상 60도에서도 사용 가능한 제품이다. 중동의 고온 환경에 최적화돼 있어 공항과 기차역, 스포츠 경기장 등 공공시설 실내외 어디에나 설치 가능한 점이 장점이다. 또한 AED 원격관리시스템(RMS, Remote Management Solutions)을 통해 작동 상태, 사용내역 등 다양한 위치에 설치된 AED 장비들을 효율적으로 관리 가능하다.
고급형 심장충격기는 환자의 심전도, 심박수, 혈압, 체온 등 생체 신호를 실시간으로 모니터링하고 심정지 시 심장 제세동이 가능한 제품이다. 병원 내 응급실, 수술실, 회복실은 물론 병원 전 단계인 응급 단계에서 활용 가능하다. 앰뷸런스 환자 이송 시, 원거리 중앙감시시스템(MD RMS, Monitor/Defibrillator Remote Management Solutions)으로 생체 신호를 인근 병원에 실시간 전송하여, 환자 수용가능 여부 판단 및 신속한 환자 대응이 가능한 장점이 있다.
메디아나 이성호 응급의료솔루션 사업대표는 “중동 및 아프리카 제세동기 시장은 연 평균 8% 이상 성장하고 있어, 기존 국내, 유럽에 이어 중동 고객 확대를 통해 매출 성장에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다”며 “응급의료솔루션의 경쟁력 확보를 위해서는 RMS와 같은 소프트웨어(SW) 접목이 필수 요소로, 메디아나 의료기기에 계열사 셀바스의 AI와 SW 기술 융·복합을 통해 AI 의료 솔루션으로 차별화해 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Mediana to participate in Middle East medical equipment exhibition 'Arab Health 2025'
Medical device specialist Mediana announced on the 22nd that it will participate in the 'Arab Health 2025', the largest medical device exhibition in the Middle East, held at the Dubai World Trade Center for four days starting on the 27th, in order to expand its customer base in the Middle East.

The AED is a product that can be used even at 60 degrees. It is optimized for the high temperature environment of the Middle East, so it has the advantage of being able to be installed anywhere, indoors or outdoors, in public facilities such as airports, train stations, and sports stadiums. The advanced defibrillator is a product that monitors the patient's vital signs such as electrocardiogram, heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature in real time and can defibrillate the heart in the event of cardiac arrest. It can be used in emergency rooms, operating rooms, and recovery rooms within the hospital, as well as in the emergency stage before the hospital. When transporting patients by ambulance, it has the advantage of transmitting vital signs in real time to a nearby hospital through a remote central monitoring system (MD RMS, Monitor/Defibrillator Remote Management Solutions), allowing for the determination of whether the patient can be admitted and rapid patient response.
