스맥(대표이사 최영섭)은 딜러사 삼크리쉬(SAMKRISH)와 함께 인도 공작기계 전시회 ‘인도 벵갈루루 국제공작기계전(IMTEX) 2025’에 참가한다고 24일 밝혔다.
IMTEX 2025는 인도공작기계산업협회(IMTMA)가 주관하는 아시아 최대 규모의 공작기계 전시회 중 하나로, 현지시간 기준 1월 23일부터 29일까지 7일간 인도 벵갈루루에서 열린다. 스맥은 이번 전시회를 통해 인도 시장 공략에 나서며 자동차, 반도체, 항공, 방산 등 다양한 산업에서 활용되는 공작기계와 로봇솔루션 제품들을 선보인다. 주요 전시 품목으로는 공작기계 LCV6700과 SL3500을 포함한 머시닝센터 2개 모델, 강력 중절삭을 실현하는 CNC 선반 시리즈 3개 모델이 포함된다.
KOTRA에 따르면 인도 공작기계 산업규모는 15억 달러(약 2조 1,600억 원)에 달하며, 매년 8.2% 성장해 2032년까지 30억 5,000만 달러(약 4조 4,000억 원)에 달할 것으로 예상된다. 이는 글로벌 제조업 허브로 떠오르고 있는 인도 시장의 잠재력을 보여주는 지표다.
스맥은 이번 전시회 참가를 통해 미국과 유럽 등 주요 시장에 비해 상대적으로 저평가되어 온 인도 및 남아시아 시장 진출에 박차를 가할 계획이다. 특히, 코로나19 팬데믹 기간에도 글로벌 전시회에 꾸준히 참여하며 해외 시장 확대에 주력한 스맥은 올해 꾸준한 상승곡선을 목표로 공격적인 마케팅 활동을 이어가고 있다.

SMACK participates in 'India Bengaluru International Machine Tool Show 2025'
Smack (CEO Young-Seop Choi) announced on the 24th that it will participate in the 'India Bengaluru International Machine Tool Show (IMTEX) 2025', an Indian machine tool exhibition, together with its dealer SAMKRISH.
IMTEX 2025 is one of the largest machine tool exhibitions in Asia, hosted by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (IMTMA), and will be held in Bengaluru, India for 7 days from January 23 to 29 (local time). This is an indicator of the potential of the Indian market, which is emerging as a global manufacturing hub.
Through its participation in this exhibition, Smack plans to accelerate its entry into the Indian and South Asian markets, which have been relatively undervalued compared to major markets such as the US and Europe. In particular, Smack, which has focused on expanding its overseas market by consistently participating in global exhibitions even during the COVID-19 pandemic, is continuing aggressive marketing activities this year with the goal of a steady upward curve.
