국제지속가능인증원(IGSC)은 호주의 글로벌 그린택 인터내셔널(Global GreenTag International)로부터 EPD(환경성적표지) 검증기관으로 승인받았다고 2월 3일 밝혔다.
글로벌 그린택 인터내셔널은 호주에 본사를 둔 국제 인증 기관으로, 건축 자재와 제품에 대해 EPD, PHD(제품환경선언), MSD(현대판노예선언) 등 다양한 환경 관련 인증 서비스를 제공한다. EPD는 제품의 전 과정에서 발생하는 환경 영향을 정량적으로 평가하여 소비자가 환경 친화적인 제품을 비교 선택할 수 있도록 돕는 인증이다. PHD는 제품 내 독성 물질이나 유해 물질의 안전성을 확인하고, MSD는 윤리적 생산과 공급을 증명하는 인증이다.
이번 EPD 검증기관 승인에 따라, 국제지속가능인증원은 글로벌 그린택 인터내셔널의 현지 검증기관으로서 LCA(전과정평가) 및 EPD 컨설팅보고서 검증을 담당하게 된다. 또한, 글로벌 그린택 인터내셔널은 ECO Platform의 회원으로, 국제지속가능인증원에서 검증된 EPD 보고서는 호주, 북미, 유럽 등에서 인정된다. ECO Platform은 유럽의 EPD 프로그램 운영자들을 위한 글로벌 네트워크로, EN 15804 유럽 표준에 기반한 EPD 시스템 구축을 지원한다.
글로벌 그린택 인터내셔널의 프로그램 디렉터 Nana Bortsie-Aryee 박사는 “EPD 제공에 대한 수요가 증가하는 가운데, 이번 협약을 통해 국제지속가능인증원과 더욱 역동적으로 협력할 수 있게 되어 기쁘다”며, “한국 제조업체들이 해외 수출을 위해 필요한 검증 서비스를 제공받을 수 있게 되어 순환 경제를 위한 설계를 추진하는 한국 기업들에게 큰 도움이 될 것”이라고 말했다.
국제지속가능인증원 관계자는 “국내에서 검증이 가능해짐으로써 언어적 장벽으로 인한 소통의 어려움을 해소할 수 있을 것”이라고 전했다.

International Sustainability Certification Institute, Australia Global Green Tech International 'EPD Verification Agency' Approval
The International Governance Certification Institute (IGSC) announced on February 3 that it had been approved as an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) verification agency by Global GreenTag International of Australia.
Global Greentech International is an international certification agency headquartered in Australia, providing various environmental certification services for building materials and products, such as EPD, PHD (Product Environmental Declaration), and MSD (Modern Slavery Declaration). EPD is a certification that quantitatively evaluates the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire life cycle, helping consumers compare and select environmentally friendly products. PHD confirms the safety of toxic or hazardous substances in a product, and MSD is a certification that proves ethical production and supply.
With this EPD verification agency approval, the International Sustainability Certification Institute will be responsible for verifying LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) and EPD consulting reports as the local verification agency of Global Greentech International. In addition, Global Greentech International is a member of the ECO Platform, and EPD reports verified by the International Sustainability Certification Institute are recognized in Australia, North America, and Europe. The ECO Platform is a global network for EPD program operators in Europe, and supports the establishment of EPD systems based on the EN 15804 European standard.
“With the growing demand for EPD offerings, we are delighted to have this agreement to further dynamically collaborate with the International Sustainability Certification Institute,” said Dr. Nana Bortsie-Aryee, Program Director at Global Greentech International. “It will be of great help to Korean manufacturers as they pursue design for the circular economy by providing them with the verification services they need to export overseas.”
An official from the International Sustainable Certification Institute said, “By making verification possible in Korea, we will be able to resolve communication difficulties caused by language barriers.”

Institut international de certification de la durabilité, Australie Approbation de l'agence de vérification EPD de Global Green Tech International
L'International Governance Certification Institute (IGSC) a annoncé le 3 février avoir été approuvé comme agence de vérification de la déclaration environnementale de produit (EPD) par Global GreenTag International d'Australie.
Global Greentech International est un organisme de certification international dont le siège social est en Australie qui fournit divers services de certification environnementale pour les matériaux et produits de construction, notamment EPD, PHD (déclaration environnementale du produit) et MSD (déclaration d'esclavage moderne). L'EPD est une certification qui évalue quantitativement l'impact environnemental qui se produit tout au long du cycle de vie du produit pour aider les consommateurs à comparer et à sélectionner des produits respectueux de l'environnement. PHD est une certification qui vérifie la sécurité des substances toxiques ou dangereuses dans les produits, et MSD est une certification qui prouve une production et un approvisionnement éthiques.
Avec cette approbation de l'agence de vérification EPD, l'Institut international de certification de durabilité sera chargé de vérifier les rapports de conseil LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) et EPD en tant qu'agence de vérification locale pour Global Green Tech International. De plus, Global Green Tech International est membre de la plateforme ECO et les rapports EPD vérifiés par l'International Sustainability Certification Institute sont reconnus en Australie, en Amérique du Nord, en Europe, etc. La plateforme ECO est un réseau mondial pour les opérateurs de programmes EPD en Europe, soutenant la mise en place de systèmes EPD basés sur la norme européenne EN 15804.
