AI 기반 골절 수술 로봇 솔루션 전문 기업 에어스(AIRS)가 11일, 50억 원 규모의 시리즈 A 투자를 유치했다고 밝혔다. 이번 투자 라운드는 L&S벤처캐피탈이 리드 투자사로 참여했으며, 리인베스트먼트, 오엔벤처투자, SL인베스트먼트, 기술보증기금이 함께 참여했다.
2020년에 설립된 에어스는 골절 수술의 디지털화를 목표로 혁신적인 AI 수술 로봇 솔루션을 개발한 기업이다. 기존 골절 수술에서는 여러 명의 정형외과 전문의가 2D 엑스레이 영상을 기반으로 복잡한 골절 상태를 해석하고 수술을 진행해야 하므로, 오류 발생 및 과도한 방사선 노출 등의 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 에어스는 AI 로봇 기술을 통해 이러한 문제를 해결하고, 골절 수술의 정확도를 높이며 방사선 노출을 최소화하고자 한다.
또한, 에어스는 중소벤처기업부의 ‘2024 전략기술 테마별 프로젝트(Deep-tech Challenge Project, DCP)’ 첨단바이오 분야 수행 기업으로 선정되며 36억 원의 정부 지원금을 받게 됐다. 이 프로젝트는 민·관 협력을 통해 고위험·고성과 연구개발(R&D) 분야에 과감히 도전할 수 있도록 최대 100억 원 규모의 자금을 지원하는 사업으로, 글로벌 수요가 높은 국가 전략기술 분야에서 총 6개 기업이 선정됐다.
에어스는 이번 투자 유치와 정부 지원금을 바탕으로 기술 사업화 및 글로벌 시장 확장을 가속화할 계획이다. 정상현 대표는 “이번 투자와 정부 프로젝트 선정은 에어스의 기술력과 성장 잠재력을 인정받은 중요한 이정표”라며, “현재 싱가포르와 인도에서 전략적 파트너십을 구축하고 있으며, 미국 FDA 승인 절차도 본격적으로 추진 중이다. 앞으로 골절 수술의 혁신을 주도하고 헬스케어 산업의 미래를 선도하는 기업이 될 것”이라고 전했다.

Ce projet prévoit un financement pouvant atteindre 10 milliards de wons pour relever avec audace les défis des domaines de recherche et développement (R&D) à haut risque et à haute performance grâce à la coopération public-privé, et un total de six entreprises ont été sélectionnées dans des domaines technologiques stratégiques nationaux à forte demande mondiale.
Airs prévoit d’accélérer la commercialisation de la technologie et l’expansion du marché mondial en s’appuyant sur cette attraction d’investissement et sur les subventions gouvernementales.
