시리에너지가 미국의 권위 있는 시상식인 ‘2025 에디슨 어워즈(Edison Awards)’에서 동상(Bronze)을 수상했다.
시리에너지는 자사의 리튬 금속 음극 기술이 ‘EV 파워 솔루션(EV Power Solution)’ 부문에서 수상했다고 밝혔다. 이번 수상 기술은 덴드라이트 발생을 억제한 3차원 구조의 리튬 전극 및 이를 바탕으로 한 대면적(400cm²), 초박형(20㎛) 리튬 전극 제조 기술이다. 해당 전극은 전기차, 로봇, 드론 등 다양한 전동화 기기 적용을 목표로 개발되었으며, 롤프린팅 공정을 통해 대면적 생산이 가능한 리튬 금속 분말 형태로 구현된 것이 특징이다. 이 기술은 시리에너지가 2022년 세계 최초로 개발한 특허 등록 기술이다.
현재 전 세계적으로 리튬 금속 전극 시장은 일본 기업이 평면 형태의 리튬 포일을 중심으로 독점하고 있으며, 해당 방식은 박막화 및 대면적 생산에 한계가 있고, 덴드라이트 억제에 취약한 기술적 문제점을 갖고 있다. 시리에너지는 이러한 기존 한계를 극복한 기술을 통해 차별화된 경쟁력을 확보했다는 평가를 받고 있다.
앞서 시리에너지는 같은 기술로 2024년 한국전자전(KES)에서 ‘전자부품소재’ 분야 최고혁신상을 수상한 바 있다.
에디슨 어워즈는 발명가 토마스 에디슨의 업적을 기리기 위해 1987년 제정된 시상식으로, 매년 신제품·서비스, 디자인, 기술 혁신 분야에서의 우수 사례를 선정한다. 매년 7,000여 개 제품이 출품되며, 약 3,000명의 전문가로 구성된 심사위원단이 7개월간의 심사를 통해 수상작을 결정한다. 과거에는 애플, 엔비디아, 스페이스X, IBM, 보잉 등 글로벌 기업뿐 아니라, 국내 기업 중 SK, LG 등이 수상한 바 있다.

Sili Energy won the Bronze award at the 2025 Edison Awards, a prestigious awards ceremony in the United States.
Sili Energy announced that its lithium metal cathode technology won an award in the 'EV Power Solution' category. The winning technology is a three-dimensional lithium electrode that suppresses dendrite occurrence and a large-area (400 cm²), ultra-thin (20 μm) lithium electrode manufacturing technology based on it. The electrode was developed with the goal of application to various electrified devices such as electric vehicles, robots, and drones, and is characterized by being implemented in the form of lithium metal powder that can be produced in large areas through a roll printing process. This technology is a patented technology that Sili Energy developed for the first time in the world in 2022.
Currently, the global lithium metal electrode market is monopolized by Japanese companies centered on flat lithium foils, and this method has limitations in thin film and large-area production, and has technical problems such as vulnerability to dendrite suppression. Sili Energy is evaluated to have secured differentiated competitiveness through technology that overcomes these existing limitations.
Previously, Sili Energy won the Best Innovation Award in the ‘Electronic Components and Materials’ category at the 2024 Korea Electronics Show (KES) with the same technology.
The Edison Awards were established in 1987 to honor the achievements of inventor Thomas Edison, and each year they select excellent examples in the fields of new products, services, design, and technological innovation. Around 7,000 products are submitted each year, and a judging panel of around 3,000 experts selects the winners after a seven-month review. In the past, global companies such as Apple, Nvidia, SpaceX, IBM, and Boeing, as well as domestic companies such as SK and LG, have won the awards.

エジソンアワードは、発明者トーマスエジソンの業績を称えるために1987年に制定された授賞式で、毎年新製品・サービス、デザイン、技術革新分野での優秀事例を選定する。毎年7,000以上の製品が出品され、約3,000人の専門家で構成された審査委員団が7ヶ月間の審査を通じて受賞作を決定する。過去にはアップル、NVIDIA、SpaceX、IBM、ボーイングなどグローバル企業だけでなく、国内企業の中でSK、LGなどが受賞したことがある。

Sili Energy a remporté le prix Bronze aux Edison Awards 2025, une prestigieuse cérémonie de remise de prix aux États-Unis.
Sili Energy a annoncé que sa technologie de cathode métallique au lithium a remporté un prix dans la catégorie « EV Power Solution ». La technologie primée cette fois-ci est une structure d'électrode au lithium tridimensionnelle qui supprime l'apparition de dendrites et une technologie de fabrication d'électrodes au lithium de grande surface (400 cm²) et ultra-minces (20 μm) basée sur celle-ci. L'électrode a été développée dans le but d'être utilisée dans divers appareils électriques tels que les véhicules électriques, les robots et les drones, et se caractérise par sa mise en œuvre sous la forme de poudre de lithium métallique qui peut être produite sur une grande surface grâce à un processus d'impression en rouleau. Cette technologie est une technologie brevetée développée pour la première fois au monde par Sili Energy en 2022.
Actuellement, le marché mondial des électrodes au lithium métal est monopolisé par des entreprises japonaises, se concentrant sur les feuilles de lithium plates. Cette méthode présente des problèmes techniques tels que des limitations dans la production de films minces et de grandes surfaces, ainsi qu'une vulnérabilité à la suppression des dendrites. Sili Energy est considérée comme ayant obtenu une compétitivité différenciée grâce à une technologie qui surmonte ces limitations existantes.
