LG의 오픈이노베이션 플랫폼 ‘슈퍼스타트(SUPERSTART)’가 4월 21일부터 5월 19일까지 탄소중립 분야의 혁신 기술을 보유한 스타트업을 대상으로 ‘슈퍼스타트 + 넷제로 챌린지X’ 공개 모집을 진행한다.
이번 모집은 대통령 직속 2050 탄소중립녹색성장위원회(이하 탄녹위)가 주관하는 ‘넷제로 챌린지X’ 프로젝트의 일환으로, 유망 클린테크 스타트업을 발굴하고 성장 단계별 지원을 통해 글로벌 유니콘 기업으로의 도약을 돕는 것을 목표로 한다.
‘넷제로 챌린지X’는 정부, 기업, 유관 기관이 협력해 추진하는 범국가 차원의 탄소중립 스타트업 지원 프로그램으로, 스타트업의 성장 단계에 따라 Tier 1부터 Tier 3까지 체계적인 지원을 제공한다. LG사이언스파크는 본 프로젝트의 Tier 1 운영 기관으로, 초기 선발과 사업화 검증을 담당한다.
공개 모집은 서류 심사, 대면 발표, 탄소중립 기여도 평가 등 총 3단계로 진행되며, 최종 선정된 스타트업은 LG 슈퍼스타트 인큐베이터 4기 자격을 부여받게 된다. 또한, 사업화 검증(PoC) 기회, 무상 사무 공간, 복지 혜택, 투자 유치 기회, 홍보 및 외부 파트너 협력 등 다양한 지원이 제공된다. 이후 Tier 2 및 Tier 3 단계에서 창업 패키지, 입주 공간, 녹색금융 및 공공조달 지원 등의 후속 혜택도 받을 수 있다.
LG는 인공지능(AI), 바이오, 클린테크(ABC)를 미래 전략 사업으로 설정하고, 클린테크 분야에서의 스타트업 협력을 지속적으로 확대해오고 있다. 이를 통해 지속가능한 기술 개발과 환경 문제 해결에 기여한다는 방침이다.
슈퍼스타트를 통해 배출된 주요 사례로는, 친환경 패키지 솔루션을 제공하는 ‘리베이션(Levitation)’과 커피박으로 비건 가죽을 개발한 ‘그린컨티뉴(Green Continue)’가 있다. 두 기업은 각각 슈퍼스타트 1기 및 2기 출신으로, 실증 사업과 협업을 통해 시장성과 기술력을 인정받았다.

LG's open innovation platform 'SUPERSTART' will be holding an open recruitment for 'SUPERSTART + Net Zero Challenge X' from April 21 to May 19 for startups with innovative technologies in the carbon neutral field.
This recruitment is part of the 'Net Zero Challenge X' project hosted by the Presidential Committee on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth 2050 (hereinafter referred to as the Carbon Neutral Committee), and aims to discover promising cleantech startups and help them leap forward as global unicorn companies by providing support at each stage of growth.
'Net Zero Challenge X' is a nationwide carbon-neutral startup support program promoted through cooperation between the government, companies, and related organizations, providing systematic support from Tier 1 to Tier 3 according to the startup's growth stage. LG Science Park is the Tier 1 operating organization for this project and is responsible for initial selection and commercialization verification.
The open recruitment will be conducted in three stages: document screening, face-to-face presentation, and carbon neutral contribution evaluation. The startups that are finally selected will be granted qualifications for the 4th LG Super Start Incubator. In addition, various support will be provided, such as business verification (PoC) opportunities, free office space, welfare benefits, investment attraction opportunities, promotion, and external partner cooperation. Subsequently, in Tier 2 and Tier 3 stages, follow-up benefits such as startup packages, move-in space, green finance, and public procurement support can also be received.
LG has set artificial intelligence (AI), bio, and cleantech (ABC) as its future strategic businesses and is continuously expanding its cooperation with startups in the cleantech field. Through this, it aims to contribute to sustainable technology development and solving environmental problems.
Key examples from Super Start include Levitation, which provides eco-friendly packaging solutions, and Green Continue, which developed vegan leather from coffee grounds. The two companies are from Super Start’s 1st and 2nd batches, respectively, and have been recognized for their marketability and technological prowess through demonstration projects and collaborations.

La plateforme d'innovation ouverte de LG « SUPERSTART » organisera un recrutement ouvert pour « SUPERSTART + Net Zero Challenge X » du 21 avril au 19 mai pour les startups dotées de technologies innovantes dans le domaine de la neutralité carbone.
Ce recrutement fait partie du projet « Net Zero Challenge X » organisé par le Comité présidentiel sur la neutralité carbone et la croissance verte 2050 (ci-après dénommé le Comité neutre en carbone), et vise à découvrir des startups cleantech prometteuses et à les aider à devenir des licornes mondiales en leur fournissant un soutien à chaque étape de leur croissance.
« Net Zero Challenge X » est un programme national de soutien aux startups neutres en carbone, promu par la collaboration entre le gouvernement, les entreprises et les organisations associées, fournissant un soutien systématique du niveau 1 au niveau 3 en fonction du stade de croissance de la startup. LG Science Park est l'organisation opérationnelle de niveau 1 pour ce projet et est responsable de la sélection initiale et de la vérification de la commercialisation.
Le recrutement ouvert se déroulera en trois étapes : examen des documents, présentation en face à face et évaluation de la contribution à la neutralité carbone, et les startups finalement sélectionnées se verront attribuer des qualifications pour le 4e incubateur LG Super Start. LG a défini l'intelligence artificielle (IA), la biotechnologie et les technologies propres (ABC) comme ses futures activités stratégiques et développe continuellement sa coopération avec les startups du domaine des technologies propres. L’objectif est de contribuer au développement technologique durable et à la résolution des problèmes environnementaux.
Parmi les exemples clés de Super Start, on peut citer Levitation, qui fournit des solutions d'emballage respectueuses de l'environnement, et Green Continue, qui a développé du cuir végétalien à partir de marc de café. Les deux entreprises sont respectivement issues des 1ère et 2ème classes Super Start et ont été reconnues pour leur valeur marchande et leurs prouesses technologiques à travers des projets de démonstration et des collaborations.
