광주광역시(시장 강기정)는 지난 23일 오후 빛고을창업스테이션(STA‧G 스테이지) 2층 다목적홀에서 ‘2025년 G-유니콘 육성 프로그램 참여기업 경진대회’를 실시했다.
‘G-유니콘 육성사업’은 우수한 기술 경쟁력과 성장 가능성이 높은 창업기업을 선발해 사업 확장(스케일업)과 글로벌 시장 진출을 지원하는 기업 성장 프로그램이다.
지원 대상은 업력 7년 이내로 광주지역에 본사 또는 지사·지점·연구소기업 등을 두고 있는 기업 중 누적 투자유치금액 5억원 이상 기업이다.
광주시는 이날 경진대회를 통해 참여기업 26개사 중 혁신성과 성장성이 기대되는 창업기업 5개사를 최종 확정했다. 앞서 심층 심사(서류‧현장)를 통해 유니콘기업으로의 성장가능성, 기술성, 사업성 등을 평가해 경진대회 참여기업 26개사를 선정했고, 이후 경진대회를 열어 외부전문가, 시민평가단의 심사를 거쳐 ‘G-유니콘 육성 기업’을 최종 확정했다.
올해 선정된 G-유니콘 육성 기업은 ▲아이메디텍 ▲베슬에이아이코리아 ▲바이오컴 ▲에스티에이치 ▲파인트코리아 등 5개사다.
대상을 수상한 ‘아이메디텍’은 중재시술용 나노섬유 지지체와 제조장치를 개발한다. 최우수상을 수상한 ‘베슬에이아이코리아’는 생성형 AI 개발‧운영을 위해 AI 오케스트레이션 플랫폼을 개발하고, ‘바이오컴’은 대사 이상‧비만 솔루션 제공을 위해 온디바이스 AI 에이전트를 개발한다. 우수상을 수상한 ‘에스티에이치’는 수소연료전지 상용화 촉진을 위한 고내구성 메조세공 탄소 담지체 기반 백금 및 합금 촉매 최적 제조 기술을 개발하고, ‘파인트코리아’는 수요 맞춤형 의료용 생분해성 복합소재를 개발한다.
광주시는 이들 기업에 사업화 자금과 세계(글로벌)시장 진출 지원과 함께 국내외 전시회 참가, 투자 유치, 대기업과 개방형혁신전략(오픈이노베이션)을 지원해 글로벌 성장을 뒷받침할 계획이다.
구체적으로 시제품 제작과 마케팅 등에 소요되는 사업화 지원금을 최소 1억원에서 최대 2억원까지 지원한다. 대상은 2억원, 최우수상은 1억5천만원, 우수상은 1억원의 사업화 지원금을 받게 된다.
아울러 지난해 1개국으로 한정했던 글로벌POC(기술검증)를 다양화하기로 하고, 기업별 희망국가 수요조사를 통해 맞춤형 글로벌 시장 진출을 지원할 방침이다.
주재희 경제창업국장은 “광주시가 키우는 G-유니콘의 놀라운 경제적 성과들을 기반으로 지역 유망 창업기업을 지속적으로 발굴·육성하겠다”며 “국내를 넘어 세계적 유니콘기업으로 도약하도록 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Gwangju City Selects 5 Promising Startup Companies in 'G-Unicorn Competition'
Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kang Ki-jung) held the '2025 G-Unicorn Fostering Program Participating Company Competition' on the 2nd floor multipurpose hall of Bitgoeul Startup Station (STA‧G Stage) on the afternoon of the 23rd.
The 'G-Unicorn Incubation Project' is a corporate growth program that selects startups with excellent technological competitiveness and high growth potential and supports their business expansion (scale-up) and entry into the global market.
The target of support is a company with a headquarters, branch office, or research center in the Gwangju area, with less than 7 years of business experience, and a cumulative investment of 500 million won or more.
On this day, Gwangju City selected 5 start-up companies with promising innovation and growth potential among 26 participating companies through the competition. In advance, 26 participating companies were selected through an in-depth review (document and on-site) to evaluate their growth potential as unicorn companies, technology, and business feasibility, and then a competition was held to select the 'G-Unicorn Incubation Companies' through evaluations by external experts and a citizen evaluation panel.
The five G-Unicorn fostering companies selected this year are ▲ImediTech ▲Vessel AI Korea ▲Biocom ▲STH ▲Pint Korea.
The grand prize winner, ‘ImediTech’, develops nanofiber supports and manufacturing devices for interventional procedures. ‘Vesel AI Korea’, the grand prize winner, develops an AI orchestration platform for the development and operation of generative AI, and ‘Biocom’ develops an on-device AI agent to provide solutions for metabolic disorders and obesity. ‘STH’, the excellence award winner, develops an optimal manufacturing technology for platinum and alloy catalysts based on highly durable mesoporous carbon supports to promote the commercialization of hydrogen fuel cells, and ‘Pint Korea’ develops demand-tailored biodegradable medical composite materials.
Gwangju City plans to support global growth by providing these companies with commercialization funds and support for entry into the global market, as well as participation in domestic and international exhibitions, investment attraction, and open innovation strategies with large companies.
Specifically, commercialization support funds for prototype production and marketing, etc., will be provided from a minimum of 100 million won to a maximum of 200 million won. The grand prize winner will receive 200 million won, the best prize winner will receive 150 million won, and the excellence prize winner will receive 100 million won.
In addition, we have decided to diversify the global POC (technology verification) that was limited to one country last year, and support customized global market entry through a demand survey of preferred countries for each company.
Director of Economic Startup Bureau, Jaehee Joo, said, “Based on the amazing economic achievements of G-Unicorns fostered by Gwangju City, we will continue to discover and foster promising local startups,” and “We will support them to grow into global unicorn companies that go beyond Korea.”

光州広域市(市場カン・ギジョン)は去る23日午後、光高創創ステーション(STA‧Gステージ)2階多目的ホールで'2025年G-ユニコーン育成プログラム参加企業競進大会'を実施した。
「G-ユニコーン育成事業」は、優れた技術競争力と成長可能性の高い創業企業を選抜し、事業拡張（スケールアップ）とグローバル市場進出を支援する企業成長プログラムだ。
支援対象は業力7年以内で、光州地域に本社または支社・支店・研究所企業などを置いている企業のうち、累積投資誘致金額5億ウォン以上の企業だ。
光州市はこの日、京進大会を通じて参加企業26社のうち、革新性と成長性が期待される創業企業5社を最終確定した。これに先立って深層審査（書類・現場）を通じてユニコーン企業への成長可能性、技術性、事業性などを評価し、軽進大会参加企業26社を選定し、以後、軽進大会を開き、外部専門家、市民評価団の審査を経て「G-ユニコーン育成企業」を最終確定した。
今年選ばれたG-ユニコーン育成企業は▲アイメディテック▲ベッスルアイアイコリア▲バイオコム▲エスティエイチ▲パイントコリアなど5社だ。
対象を受賞した「アイメディテック」は、仲裁手術用ナノファイバー支持体と製造装置を開発する。最優秀賞を受賞した「ベッスルアイアイコリア」は、生成型AI開発‧運営のためにAIオーケストレーションプラットフォームを開発し、「バイオコム」はセリフ以上‧肥満ソリューション提供のためにオンデバイスAIエージェントを開発する。優秀賞を受賞した「エスティエイチ」は、水素燃料電池の商用化促進のための高耐久性メソ細孔炭素担持体ベースの白金および合金触媒最適製造技術を開発し、「ファイントコリア」は需要カスタマイズ型医療用生分解性複合素材を開発する。
光州市はこれら企業に事業化資金と世界（グローバル）市場進出支援とともに、国内外の展示会参加、投資誘致、大企業と開放型革新戦略（オープンイノベーション）を支援し、グローバル成長を支える計画だ。
具体的には試作品の製作やマーケティングなどにかかる事業化支援金を最低１億ウォンから最大２億ウォンまで支援する。対象は2億ウォン、最優秀賞は1億5千万ウォン、優秀賞は1億ウォンの事業化支援金を受けることになる。
また、昨年１カ国に限定したグローバルＰＯＣ（技術検証）を多様化することにし、企業別希望国家需要調査を通じてカスタマイズされたグローバル市場進出を支援する方針だ。
チュ・ジェヒ経済創業局長は「光州市が育てるG-ユニコーンの驚くべき経済的成果を基盤に地域有望創業企業を持続的に発掘・育成する」とし「国内を越えて世界的ユニコーン企業に跳躍するよう支援する」と明らかにした。

光州广域市（市长姜基正） 23日下午在光州创业站（STA‧G舞台）2楼多功能厅举办了‘2025年G-独角兽培育计划参与企业竞赛’。
“G-Unicorn孵化项目”是选拔具有优秀技术竞争力和高成长潜力的初创企业，支持其业务扩张（scale-up）和进军全球市场的企业成长计划。
支持对象为在光州地区设有总部、分公司或研究中心，经营经验未满7年，累计投资额达5亿韩元以上的企业。
通过当天举行的竞赛，光州市最终从26家参赛企业中评选出5家具有良好创新和成长潜力的初创企业。事先通过深入评审（文书及现场）选出26家参与公司，评估其作为独角兽公司的成长潜力、技术、商业可行性。随后，举行了竞赛，通过外部专家和市民评审团的评审，最终选出了“G-Unicorn孵化企业”。
今年入选的5家G-Unicorn培育企业分别是▲ImediTech▲Vessel AI Korea▲Biocom▲STH▲Pint Korea。
获奖公司‘Imeditech’开发了用于介入手术的纳米纤维支架和制造设备。获得大奖的‘Vessel AI Korea’正在开发用于生成型AI开发和运营的AI编排平台，‘Biocom’正在开发用于提供代谢异常和肥胖解决方案的设备内置AI代理。获得优秀奖的‘STH’公司正在开发基于高耐久性介孔碳载体的铂及合金催化剂的最佳制造技术，以促进氢燃料电池的商业化，而‘Pint Korea’公司正在开发用于医疗用途的定制可生物降解复合材料。
光州市计划为这些企业提供商业化资金和进入全球市场的支持，以及参加国内外展会、招商引资、与大企业共同实施开放式创新战略等，以支持其全球增长。

Le « G-Unicorn Incubation Project » est un programme de croissance d'entreprise qui sélectionne des startups dotées d'une excellente compétitivité technologique et d'un fort potentiel de croissance et soutient leur expansion commerciale (scale-up) et leur entrée sur le marché mondial.
La cible du soutien est une entreprise ayant un siège social, une succursale ou un centre de recherche dans la région de Gwangju, avec moins de 7 ans d'expérience commerciale et un investissement cumulé de 500 millions de wons ou plus.
Grâce au concours organisé ce jour-là, la ville de Gwangju a finalement sélectionné 5 start-ups présentant un potentiel d'innovation et de croissance prometteur parmi 26 entreprises participantes. Au préalable, 26 entreprises participantes ont été sélectionnées à travers un examen approfondi (document et sur place) pour évaluer leur potentiel de croissance, leur technologie et leur viabilité commerciale en tant qu'entreprises licornes. Par la suite, un concours a été organisé et les « G-Unicorn Incubation Companies » ont finalement été sélectionnées grâce à une évaluation par des experts externes et un panel d'évaluation citoyen.
Les cinq entreprises d'accueil G-Unicorn sélectionnées cette année sont ▲ImediTech ▲Vessel AI Korea ▲Biocom ▲STH ▲Pint Korea.
« Imeditech », lauréat du prix, développe des supports en nanofibres et des dispositifs de fabrication pour les procédures interventionnelles. « Vessel AI Korea », qui a remporté le grand prix, développe une plate-forme d'orchestration de l'IA pour le développement et l'exploitation de l'IA générative, et « Biocom » développe un agent d'IA sur appareil pour fournir des solutions aux anomalies métaboliques et à l'obésité. « STH », qui a remporté le prix d'excellence, développe une technologie de fabrication optimale pour les catalyseurs en platine et en alliage à base de supports de carbone mésoporeux hautement durables pour promouvoir la commercialisation des piles à combustible à hydrogène, et « Pint Korea » développe des matériaux composites biodégradables personnalisés à usage médical.

De plus, nous avons décidé de diversifier le POC mondial (vérification technologique) qui était limité à un seul pays l'année dernière, et de soutenir l'entrée personnalisée sur le marché mondial grâce à une enquête sur la demande des pays préférés de chaque entreprise.
