밀알복지재단은 강남구청, 에스더포뮬러와 함께 사회적 고립 상태에 놓인 1인 가구를 지원하기 위한 사회공헌사업 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 28일 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 고령화와 1인 가구 증가로 인한 사회적 고립 문제에 대응하기 위한 조치로, 특히 정서적 단절과 위기 상황 시 도움을 받기 어려운 고립 가구를 대상으로 실질적인 지원을 제공하는 데 목적이 있다.
협약식은 지난 25일 강남구청 구청장실에서 진행됐으며, 밀알복지재단 정형석 상임대표, 강남구 조성명 구청장, 에스더포뮬러 김건세 대표 등이 참석했다. 세 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 고립 1인 가구 대상 사회공헌활동을 공동 추진하기로 합의했다.
주요 사업으로는 건강기능식품과 생필품으로 구성된 ‘건강꾸러미’를 강남구 내 152가구에 전달하는 프로젝트가 포함된다. 이 활동은 오는 6월, 에스더포뮬러 임직원이 직접 참여하는 자원봉사 형식으로 진행될 예정이다.
해당 사업의 재원은 에스더포뮬러가 밀알복지재단의 나눔스토어 ‘기빙플러스’에 기부한 건강기능식품 판매 수익 일부로 조성된다. 기빙플러스는 기업 기부 물품 판매를 통해 발생한 수익으로 취약계층의 일자리를 창출하고 지역사회 소외이웃을 지원하는 사회적 기업이다.
협약에 따라 에스더포뮬러는 지속적인 물품 기부와 임직원 참여형 봉사활동을 이어가며, 강남구청은 행정적 지원 및 대상자 선정을 맡는다. 밀알복지재단은 전체 사업의 기획과 운영을 담당하며, 건강꾸러미 구성과 전달 및 봉사활동 실행을 주도할 계획이다. 향후 세 기관은 지원 지역 및 대상 확대 방안도 함께 모색할 방침이다.

According to the agreement, Esther Formula will continue to donate goods and engage in volunteer activities with the participation of employees, while Gangnam-gu Office will be in charge of administrative support and selection of beneficiaries. The Milal Welfare Foundation will be in charge of planning and operating the entire project, and will lead the composition and delivery of health packages and the implementation of volunteer activities. In the future, the three organizations will also explore ways to expand the support areas and targets.
