인증 보안 전문기업 센스톤의 영국 본사 swIDch(스위치)는 미국 샌프란시스코에서 열린 ‘글로벌 인포섹 어워즈 2025(Global InfoSec Awards 2025)’에서 PLC 보안 부문 유망기업(Hot Company in PLC Security)으로 선정됐다고 29일 밝혔다.
이번 수상은 주요 인프라의 PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) 및 OT(Operational Technology) 시스템의 보안 취약점 해결에 대한 센스톤의 기술적 기여와 시장 가능성을 인정받은 결과로 평가된다.
글로벌 인포섹 어워즈는 정보 보안 분야의 혁신성과 잠재력을 기준으로 매년 우수 기업을 선정하는 시상식으로, 사이버 보안 업계 최대 행사인 RSA 컨퍼런스 기간 중 발표된다. 수상 기업은 국제공인정보시스템보안전문가(CISSP), 미국 국토안보국 소속 보안 전문가, 공인 해커(CEH) 자격 보유자 등으로 구성된 심사위원단의 평가를 거쳐 선정된다.
센스톤은 OT 인증 보안 솔루션 ‘PLC OTAC’ 및 ‘OTAC Trusted Access Gateway(TAG)’를 통해 별도의 인증서나 비밀번호 없이도 단방향 통신 환경에서 비인가 접속을 차단할 수 있는 구조를 구현했다. 기존 인프라 변경 없이도 다양한 OT 환경에 적용이 가능한 점에서 기술적 실용성과 확장성을 인정받았다.
심사위원장 개리 밀레프스키(Gary S. Miliefsky)는 “센스톤은 기존 보안 방식과는 차별화된 접근을 통해 미래 보안 위협에 대한 대응 방안을 제시한 기업”이라며 “혁신성과 실현 가능성을 고루 갖춘 점에서 이번 수상의 자격을 충분히 갖췄다”고 밝혔다.
센스톤은 이번 수상을 계기로 글로벌 PLC 제조사와의 협력을 확대하고 있으며, 최근에는 제조사 의존 없이 엔드포인트 인증 보안 시스템을 구현할 수 있는 ‘OTAC TAG’ 기술을 선보였다. 해당 기술은 이미 다수 기관과의 현장 테스트를 완료하고 산업 현장에 구축되고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.

SenseTone Wins Global InfoSec Awards at 2025 RSAC
swIDch, the UK headquarters of authentication security specialist Senstone, announced on the 29th that it was selected as a Hot Company in PLC Security at the 'Global InfoSec Awards 2025' held in San Francisco, USA.
This award is recognized as a result of SensenStone's technological contribution and market potential in resolving security vulnerabilities in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and OT (Operational Technology) systems of major infrastructure.
The Global InfoSec Awards is an annual awards ceremony that selects excellent companies based on innovation and potential in the information security field, and is announced during the RSA Conference, the largest event in the cybersecurity industry. The winning companies are selected through evaluation by a panel of judges consisting of Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP), security professionals from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and Certified Hackers (CEH) holders.
Senstone has implemented a structure that can block unauthorized access in a one-way communication environment without a separate certificate or password through OT certification security solutions 'PLC OTAC' and 'OTAC Trusted Access Gateway (TAG)'. It has been recognized for its technical practicality and expandability as it can be applied to various OT environments without changing the existing infrastructure.
“SensTone is a company that has presented a solution to future security threats with a differentiated approach from existing security methods,” said Gary S. Miliefsky, chairman of the judging panel. “It is fully qualified to receive this award as it combines innovation and feasibility.”
With this award, Senstone is expanding its collaboration with global PLC manufacturers, and recently introduced the 'OTAC TAG' technology that can implement an endpoint authentication security system without relying on manufacturers. It is known that the technology has already completed field tests with multiple organizations and is being deployed in industrial sites.

Ce prix est reconnu en raison de la contribution technologique et du potentiel de marché de SensenStone dans la résolution des vulnérabilités de sécurité dans les systèmes PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) et OT (Operational Technology) des principales infrastructures.
Les Global InfoSec Awards sont une cérémonie annuelle de remise de prix qui récompense les entreprises exceptionnelles en fonction de leur innovation et de leur potentiel dans le domaine de la sécurité de l'information, et sont annoncés lors de la conférence RSA, le plus grand événement du secteur de la cybersécurité. Avec ce prix, Sensestone étend sa collaboration avec les fabricants mondiaux d'automates programmables et a récemment introduit la technologie « OTAC TAG », qui peut mettre en œuvre un système de sécurité d'authentification des points de terminaison sans dépendre des fabricants. On sait que la technologie a déjà été testée sur le terrain auprès de plusieurs organisations et qu’elle est en cours de déploiement dans des environnements industriels.
