서울대학교 기술지주는 대학생 대상 홍보 프로그램인 ‘서울대기술지주 서포터즈 2기’를 출범하고, 약 4개월간의 본격적인 활동에 돌입했다고 12일 밝혔다.
이번 서포터즈 프로그램은 스타트업과 투자 생태계에 관심 있는 서울대학교 재학생을 대상으로 하며, 총 12명의 학생이 선발되었다. 참가자들은 콘텐츠 기획 및 제작을 중심으로, 창업가 인터뷰, 포트폴리오 기업 행사 참여, 창업·투자 분야 실무자와의 네트워킹 등 다양한 활동에 참여할 예정이다. 특히, 의예과, 제약학과 등 이공계 전공을 포함한 다양한 학과의 학생들이 함께하며, 다각적인 시각에서의 콘텐츠 제작이 기대된다.
서울대기술지주는 이번 프로그램을 통해 학생들이 창업 현장의 실질적 경험을 접하고, 스타트업 및 벤처 생태계에 대한 이해도를 높일 수 있도록 지원할 계획이다. 참가자들은 서울대기술지주가 육성·투자 중인 기술 기반 스타트업의 사업 모델, 기술 가치, 창업 철학 등을 카드뉴스, 인터뷰, 영상 등 다양한 콘텐츠 형식으로 제작하게 된다.
서포터즈 활동 종료 후에는 네트워킹 프로그램도 마련되어, 창업 생태계 진입을 희망하는 학생들에게 실질적인 진로 탐색 기회를 제공할 예정이다.
서울대기술지주는 서포터즈 프로그램을 통해 학생들이 기술 창업을 보다 현실적인 진로로 인식하고, 대학의 사회적 역할 확장에 기여할 수 있는 계기를 마련하고자 한다는 입장이다. 회사 측은 “서울대학교가 단순한 학문 연구기관을 넘어 기술 창업과 산업 생태계에 기여하는 플랫폼으로서의 역할을 확대하고 있다”고 설명했다.
한편, 서울대기술지주는 인공지능 반도체 기업 ‘리벨리온’에 초기 투자자로 참여하는 등 기술 중심 스타트업의 성장을 지원해 왔다. 이번 서포터즈 프로그램은 기술 기반 창업을 대중에게 소개하고, 학생들이 스타트업과의 연결 고리 역할을 수행할 수 있도록 설계됐다.
목승환 대표는 “서포터즈 활동은 학생들이 스타트업을 이해하고, 창업 생태계와의 접점을 넓히는 기회가 될 것”이라며 “서울대기술지주는 앞으로도 창의적이고 혁신적인 인재들이 기술 창업과 투자에 주체적으로 참여할 수 있도록 다양한 지원을 이어갈 계획”이라고 말했다.

Meanwhile, Seoul National University Technology Holdings has supported the growth of technology-centered startups, including participating as an early investor in the artificial intelligence semiconductor company 'Rebellion'. This supporter program is designed to introduce technology-based startups to the public and enable students to serve as a link between startups and the companies.
CEO Mok Seung-hwan said, “Supporter activities will be an opportunity for students to understand startups and expand their contact with the startup ecosystem,” and added, “Seoul National University Technology Holdings plans to continue to provide various types of support so that creative and innovative talents can actively participate in technology startups and investments.”
