로봇 솔루션 및 로봇 제조 전문기업 브릴스(대표이사 전진)가 19일 코엑스 마곡에서 열린 제60회 발명의날 기념식에서 한국발명진흥회장 표창을 수상했다고 20일 밝혔다.
특허청이 주최하고 한국발명진흥회가 주관하는 발명의 날 기념식은 발명을 통해 국가 산업 발전에 기여한 발명유공자(개인 및 단체)의 포상을 통해 발명인 및 발명유공자의 사기를 진작하고 발명 분위기를 확산시키기 위한 법정기념일 행사다. 안덕근 산업통상자원부장관, 김완기 특허청장을 비롯해 발명 유관기관장, 발명 유공 포상자 및 가족 등 200여 명이 참석했다.
브릴스는 2024년 특허 전담부서를 신설해 지식재산권 관리 체계를 고도화했다. 또한 사내 직무발명제도를 도입해 전사적 발명 활성화를 이끈 결과, 국내외 특허·상표 등 총 166건(특허 156건, 상표 10건)의 지식재산권으로 확대해 가고 있다. 이번 수상은 특허 기반 기술 혁신과 지식재산 중심의 경영 전략을 통해 지식재산권 창출에 기여한 공을 인정받은 성과다.
이러한 노력으로 2023 이노비즈 기술혁신 유공자 특허청장 표창, 2024 중소기업 유공자 대통령 표창 등을 수상한 바 있다. 또한 로봇 산업 분야에서 핵심 기술을 보유한 기업으로 2024 정보통신 중소기업 발전 유공자 과학기술정보통신부장관 표창 등도 받는 성과를 거두었다.

Brils, '60th Invention Day' Korea Invention Promotion Association President's Award
