단백질 빅데이터 기반 바이오기업 프로티나가 19일 금융위원회에 코스닥 상장을 위한 증권신고서를 제출하고 기업공개(IPO)를 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.
이번 공모를 통해 총 150만 주를 발행하며, 공모가 희망 밴드는 1만1000원에서 1만4000원이다. 총 공모 금액은 165억 원에서 210억 원 규모로 예상되며, 상장 후 시가총액은 약 1190억 원에서 1510억 원 수준이 될 것으로 전망된다. 기관투자자 대상 수요예측은 오는 6월 11일부터 17일까지 5영업일간 진행되며, 일반 청약은 6월 23일과 24일 양일간 진행될 예정이다. 상장 주관사는 한국투자증권이다.
프로티나는 2015년 한국과학기술원(KAIST)의 교원 창업으로 설립된 기업으로, 단백질 간 상호작용(PPI, Protein-Protein Interaction)을 단일 분자 수준에서 분석할 수 있는 플랫폼 기술 ‘SPID(Single-molecule Protein Interaction Detection)’을 세계 최초로 상용화했다. 이 플랫폼을 기반으로 프로티나는 바이오마커 개발과 항체 설계를 포함한 신약 개발 전 과정을 지원하는 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 주요 제품군은 차세대 바이오마커 개발을 위한 ‘PPI PathFinder’와 항체 최적화 및 설계를 위한 ‘PPI Landscape’이다.
이번 공모를 통해 조달된 자금은 SPID 플랫폼의 고도화, 신규 바이오마커 개발, 바이오베터 및 단백질 신약 공동개발 확대, AI 기반 항체 신약 플랫폼 개발에 사용될 예정이다. 또한, 미국 보스턴에 위치한 사무소의 영업 및 서비스 조직 확장을 추진 중이며, 현지 임상진단 인증시설(CLIA 랩) 인수도 검토하고 있다.

Proteina is a company established in 2015 as a faculty startup at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and was the first in the world to commercialize the platform technology 'SPID (Single-molecule Protein Interaction Detection)' that can analyze protein-protein interactions (PPI) at the single molecule level. Based on this platform, Proteina provides services that support the entire process of new drug development, including biomarker development and antibody design.
