초거대AI추진협의회는 정부, 산업계, 학계가 함께 참여하는 민관학 연합 기구로, AI 기술의 산업 적용 확대와 생태계 조성을 목표로 운영된다. LG, KT, SK텔레콤 등 주요 대기업들도 협의회에 참여하고 있어 민간 주도의 협업 시너지가 기대된다.
한국소프트웨어산업협회와 협의회는 국회와 협력해 AI 초강국 실현을 위한 정책적 기반 마련에 힘쓰고 있다. 최근에는 ‘AI 초강국 실현을 위한 현황과 과제’를 주제로 국회 간담회를 개최하고, 인프라 확충 및 규제 개선 방안을 논의한 바 있다.
최근 조기 대선을 앞두고 주요 후보들이 AI 산업에 대한 대규모 투자 공약을 발표하면서, AI 기술 혁신과 생태계 조성을 위한 민관 협력의 중요성도 더욱 부각되고 있다.
