테라헤르츠 기술 및 솔루션 선도기업 테라뷰(TeraView, 대표이사 도널드 도미닉 아르논)가 코스닥 상장을 위해 한국거래소에 상장예비심사신청서를 제출했다고 지난 19일 밝혔다. 테라뷰의 주관사는 삼성증권이다.
테라뷰는 테라헤르츠 기술 및 솔루션 분야에서는 독보적인 기술력을 자랑하는 회사로, 전 세계에서 테라헤르츠 관련 특허를 가장 많이 보유한 기업으로 잘 알려져 있다. 테라헤르츠 기술은 비파괴 초정밀 검사가 가능해 X-Ray, 초음파 등 기존 검사 방식을 보완 및 대체할 수 있어 다방면의 첨단산업에 적용할 수 있다.
테라뷰는 ▲반도체 업계에서 최초로 테라헤르츠 결함 분석 및 검사시스템 출시 ▲자동차처럼 다층으로 코팅을 쌓아 올리는 고가 제품의 다층 코팅 측정 시스템 최초 출시 등 다양한 첨단산업의 영역에서 세계 최초 타이틀을 확보하고 있다. 또한 2차전지 코팅의 매개변수인 밀도, 두께, 전도도를 동시 측정하는 솔루션도 이미 상용화되어 빠른 시일 내 양산 라인에 도입을 목표로 하고 있다.
테라뷰가 보유한 테라헤르츠 전자기파 발생 및 응용 검사장비는 국내 주요 반도체 및 2차전지 기업들을 비롯해 글로벌 기업인 엔비디아, 인텔, 폭스바겐, 포드 등 해외 유수의 탑티어 기업들이 주요 고객사이다.
테라뷰 관계자는 “반도체와 2차전지, 자동차 시장의 핵심국으로 인정받는 한국에서 상장 시 한국은 물론 아시아에 공장이 분포된 글로벌 고객사 업체들에게 안정적인 서비스 지원 및 원활한 소통이 가능하다”며 코스닥 상장 배경을 설명했다.
이어서 테라뷰 관계자는 “당사의 테라헤르츠 기술 및 솔루션은 업계 최고 수준의 검사가 가능해 글로벌 탑티어 기업 고객사의 비중이 확대되고 있는 상황”이라며 “특히 테라뷰의 기술력에 주목한 글로벌 유수 기업들이 협력업체들에게도 테라뷰의 제품·솔루션을 검사라인에 적용할 것을 요구하고 있어 빠른 성장을 기대하고 있다”고 밝혔다.
상장을 통해 코스닥 증시에 입성하게 되면 테라뷰는 “영국기업 1호 코스닥 상장사” 타이틀을 확보하게 된다. 테라뷰는 IPO를 통해 확보한 자금의 대부분은 연구개발(R&D)과 제품 고도화 및 제작 역량에 사용할 예정이다.

Terraview submits preliminary listing application to Korea Exchange
TeraView (CEO Donald Dominic Arnon), a leading company in terahertz technology and solutions, announced on the 19th that it had submitted a preliminary listing application to the Korea Exchange for listing on KOSDAQ. TeraView’s lead manager is Samsung Securities.
Terraview is a company that boasts unrivaled technological prowess in the field of terahertz technology and solutions, and is well known as the company with the largest number of terahertz-related patents in the world. Terahertz technology enables non-destructive, ultra-precision inspections, and can be applied to a variety of cutting-edge industries as it can complement and replace existing inspection methods such as X-ray and ultrasound.
Terraview has secured world-first titles in various cutting-edge industries, including ▲the first launch of a terahertz defect analysis and inspection system in the semiconductor industry and ▲the first launch of a multilayer coating measurement system for high-priced products that stack multiple layers of coatings, such as automobiles. In addition, a solution that simultaneously measures density, thickness, and conductivity, which are parameters of secondary battery coatings, has already been commercialized and is aiming to introduce it to mass production lines in the near future.
Terraview's terahertz electromagnetic wave generation and application inspection equipment's main customers include major domestic semiconductor and secondary battery companies as well as top-tier overseas companies such as Nvidia, Intel, Volkswagen, and Ford.
A Terraview official explained the background of the KOSDAQ listing, saying, “If we were listed in Korea, which is recognized as a key country in the semiconductor, secondary battery, and automobile markets, we would be able to provide stable service support and smooth communication to global client companies with factories distributed throughout Asia as well as Korea.”
A Terraview official continued, “Our terahertz technology and solutions are capable of performing the highest level of inspection in the industry, and the proportion of global top-tier corporate clients is increasing.” He added, “In particular, leading global companies that have taken notice of Terraview’s technological prowess are requesting that their partners also apply Terraview’s products and solutions to their inspection lines, and we expect rapid growth.”
If it enters the KOSDAQ market through listing, Terraview will secure the title of “the first British company to be listed on KOSDAQ.” Terraview plans to use most of the funds raised through the IPO for research and development (R&D), product advancement, and manufacturing capabilities.

テラビュー関係者は「半導体と二次電池、自動車市場の核心国として認められる韓国で上場時、韓国はもちろんアジアに工場が分布したグローバル顧客企業に安定したサービス支援と円滑なコミュニケーションが可能だ」とコスダック上場の背景を説明した。
続いてテラビュー関係者は「当社のテラヘルツ技術及びソリューションは業界最高水準の検査が可能でグローバルトップティア企業顧客社の比重が拡大している状況」とし「特にテラビューの技術力に注目したグローバル有数企業が協力企業にもテラビューの製品・ソリューションを検査ラインに適用することを求めている。
上場を通じてコスダック証券市場に入成すると、テラビューは「イギリス企業1号コスダック上場会社」のタイトルを確保することになる。テラビューはIPOを通じて確保した資金の大半は研究開発(R&D)と製品の高度化及び製作能力に使用する予定だ。

如果Terraview在KOSDAQ市场上市，将稳坐“第一家在KOSDAQ上市的英国公司”的宝座。 Terraview 计划将通过 IPO 筹集的大部分资金用于研发、产品改进和制造能力。

Si Terraview entre sur le marché KOSDAQ par le biais d'une cotation, elle obtiendra le titre de « première société britannique à être cotée sur le KOSDAQ ». Terraview prévoit d'utiliser la plupart des fonds levés grâce à l'introduction en bourse pour la recherche et le développement (R&D), l'avancement des produits et les capacités de fabrication.
