드레이퍼스타트업하우스코리아(Draper Startup House Korea)가 헬로유니콘(Hello Unicorn)의 운영사인 ㈜클로토와 전략적 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 28일 밝혔다. 양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 국내 스타트업의 해외 진출과 외국 스타트업의 국내 정착을 실질적으로 지원하는 민간 주도의 글로벌 연계 모델을 본격적으로 추진할 계획이다.
헬로유니콘은 정부지원사업에 특화된 행정 자동화 플랫폼으로, 다수의 공공과제를 경험한 스타트업 창업자들이 중심이 되어 설계한 솔루션이다. 복잡한 행정 절차로 어려움을 겪는 창업자들을 위해 사업 계획 수립부터 신청, 수행, 정산까지 전 과정의 행정 업무를 지원하고 있다. 최근에는 글로벌 정부지원금(grant) 정보도 플랫폼에 통합하여, 특히 한국 시스템에 익숙하지 않은 외국인 창업자를 위한 맞춤형 서비스를 강화하고 있다.
드레이퍼스타트업하우스코리아는 실리콘밸리 기반 Draper Network의 한국 지사로, 외국 스타트업의 한국 진출과 국내 스타트업의 해외 확장을 위한 창업 인프라를 제공하고 있다. 네트워킹 행사, 사무공간, 보육 프로그램, 글로벌 VC 연계 등 다양한 서비스를 통해 창업 기업의 성장을 지원하고 있으며, 이번 협약을 계기로 양방향 스타트업 지원 체계를 보다 강화할 방침이다.
양사는 이번 협약을 통해 외국 스타트업에는 한국 정부지원사업 활용을 위한 전담 행정 지원과 함께 정착 및 네트워크 확장의 기회를 제공하고, 한국 스타트업에는 글로벌 진출 전략, 현지 거점 연결, 맞춤형 사업 계획 수립 등을 연계해 지원한다.
헬로유니콘 이현석 대표는 “외국인 창업자들이 한국 행정 절차에 익숙하지 않아 각종 지원 혜택을 놓치는 사례가 많았다”며, “이번 협약을 통해 창업자들이 실질적인 경영에 집중할 수 있도록 환경을 마련하겠다”고 말했다.
드레이퍼스타트업하우스코리아 관계자도 “국내 스타트업은 충분한 기술력과 가능성을 갖추고 있음에도 실행 기회 부족으로 해외 진출에 어려움을 겪어왔다”며, “이번 협력은 단순 제휴가 아닌, 실질적인 글로벌 창업 생태계 실현을 위한 민간의 실행 선언”이라고 전했다.
협약에 따라 양사의 입주 기업과 추천 기업은 각 기관의 서비스를 우선 적용 또는 할인된 조건으로 이용할 수 있으며, 향후 공동 데모데이, 해외 진출 컨설팅, 글로벌 파트너 매칭 등 다양한 프로그램이 단계적으로 추진될 예정이다.

Draper Startup House Korea announced on the 28th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Cloto Co., Ltd., the operator of Hello Unicorn. Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to fully promote a private sector-led global linkage model that provides practical support for domestic startups’ overseas expansion and foreign startups’ domestic settlement.
Hello Unicorn is an administrative automation platform specialized in government-supported projects, and is a solution designed by startup founders who have experience with numerous public projects. It supports the entire administrative work process from business plan establishment to application, execution, and settlement for founders who are struggling with complex administrative procedures. Recently, global government grant information has also been integrated into the platform, strengthening customized services, especially for foreign founders who are not familiar with the Korean system.
Draper Startup House Korea is the Korean branch of Silicon Valley-based Draper Network, providing startup infrastructure for foreign startups to enter the Korean market and domestic startups to expand overseas. It supports the growth of startups through various services such as networking events, office space, incubation programs, and global VC connections, and plans to further strengthen its two-way startup support system through this agreement.
Through this agreement, the two companies will provide foreign startups with dedicated administrative support for utilizing Korean government support projects, as well as opportunities for settling in and expanding their networks, while supporting Korean startups by linking them with global expansion strategies, connecting local bases, and establishing customized business plans.
Hello Unicorn CEO Lee Hyun-seok said, “There have been many cases where foreign entrepreneurs have missed out on various support benefits due to their unfamiliarity with Korean administrative procedures,” and added, “Through this agreement, we will create an environment where entrepreneurs can focus on actual management.”
An official from Draper Startup House Korea also said, “Domestic startups have had difficulties in expanding overseas due to a lack of opportunities to implement despite having sufficient technological capabilities and potential,” and added, “This collaboration is not a simple partnership, but a declaration of private action to realize a practical global startup ecosystem.”
According to the agreement, companies moving in and recommended by both companies will be able to use each organization's services with priority or discounted terms, and various programs such as joint demo days, overseas expansion consulting, and global partner matching will be implemented in stages in the future.

ドレイパースタートアップハウスコリア関係者も「国内スタートアップは十分な技術力と可能性を備えているにもかかわらず実行機会不足で海外進出に困難を経験してきた」とし、「今回の協力は単純提携ではなく、実質的なグローバル創業生態系実現のための民間の実行宣言」と伝えた。
条約によって両社の入居企業と推薦企業は各機関のサービスを優先適用または割引された条件で利用することができ、今後共同デモデー、海外進出コンサルティング、グローバルパートナーマッチングなど多様なプログラムが段階的に推進される予定だ。

根据协议，入驻并得到两家公司推荐的企业将能够以优先或折扣的方式使用各自公司的服务，联合演示日、海外扩张咨询、全球合作伙伴匹配等各种计划也将在未来分阶段实施。

Selon l'accord, les entreprises qui s'implantent et qui sont recommandées par les deux sociétés pourront utiliser les services de chaque organisation avec des conditions prioritaires ou à prix réduit, et divers programmes tels que des journées de démonstration conjointes, des conseils en matière d'expansion à l'étranger et la mise en relation de partenaires mondiaux seront mis en œuvre par étapes à l'avenir.
